Yesterday afternoon, the sky was so beautiful, as if telling a story through the colors of the sunset. I stood at the edge of the rice paddy, watching the sun slowly set behind a row of coconut trees. Its light reflected off the water's surface, creating a calming golden glow. The atmosphere was so quiet, only the sound of crickets and the wind rustling through the young rice stalks could be heard.

That afternoon felt different. There was a sense of peace that was hard to describe, as if nature was inviting me to pause for a moment from all my busyness. Seeing the reflection of the sky in the rice paddy water made me reflect—on the passage of time, on the efforts I put in each day, and on my gratitude for every small step I had taken.

Several birds were seen flying low over the water, perhaps looking for a place to rest. The wind carried the distinctive scent of wet rice paddy mud, a scent that always reminds me of the hard work of farmers and the simplicity of village life.

As the sun finally set completely, the sky slowly darkened, leaving a soft glow on the western horizon. I remained standing there, enjoying the last glimmer of light of day, with a calm heart and a clearer mind. Yesterday afternoon wasn't just about the beautiful scenery, but also about the silence that gave the soul space to rest.
