Oregairu Anime Review

I was simply doom scrolling through Instagram when I saw a clip. Now normally, I don't collect anime series from my insta because of how heavily edited and misleading the scene can be, yet something compelled me, and to be honest I'm both impressed and proud.
The fact that my Instagram feed can recommend gems to me for both movies and anime is a reassuring one✨.

Oregairu

Plot

The story revolves around Hachiman Hikigaya, a pessimistic, close minded and very realistic teen.
After getting the last straw on a failed essay, he's forced by his teacher to join the volunteer club, a way to boost his interactions with others and help solve his own issues.

This is one of those old anime shows that you have seen their edits or pieces of their edits somewhere and everywhere but never once watched the anime.
Every single time my mouth dropped open as I noticed each and every meme I've come across occasionally on the anime verse in the show, especially this speech that was popular 4 years ago.

From the above clip, it's easy to think that this is just another one of those flicks where the MC is a depressed hick but no...
This show brings forth the relationships and nuances of highschool like none I have ever seen. So pure, so brash and unhidden between colours and glitter.

Yet despite all the grit and truth, it still finds a way to be silly and unapologetically funny with the sarcastic dialogue 😂.

I binged watched the first season and every episode made me really think back to my time in high school.

Scared and shocked that it's been 4 years now

And I remember that all incidents I've seen in the first season I've seen it replayed in high school in one way or the other.
Seen different student types and different funny scenarios.

One thing this anime helps us teach is that being alone isn't exactly a bad thing, but being lonely while you're alone is bad, and what's even worse is being lonely when you're not alone.

This show is the best, I just finished the first season and I'm off to start the second and third, can't rate the full show yet but with such a dope debut season, I'm sure a 7/10 is a great bet?

I urge y'all to check it out!!

I am completely related to the moment when a random Instagram clip turns into a fully developed passion. It is wild how many times we show that we have seen one hundred memes, thinking that we already know them. But once we dive, it is a different experience. The raw, honest depiction of high school feelings that you have mentioned is really difficult. Adding this into my watching list. Thanks!

Being alone is not exactly a bad thing, but being alone while you're alone is bad, and what's even worse is being alone when you're not alone.

True, I know from experience, that was my adolescence during my school days.
that's why I feel so identified with Hikigaya.
