Ninja vs. Gokudo Anime Review

Yesterday i decided to watch a new anime but this time i wanted something packed with action and funny, or just funny. I randomly stumbled upon Ninja vs Gokudo and because i like both Ninjas and Gokudo i said to myself "At least it must have some action". I had no clue about the anime or manga, though.

The plot is pretty straightforward. We got Shinoha Tanaka, a young guy who is like an otaku or something and who suddenly pops up to another guy who seems like a salaryman called Kiwami Kimura who also shares the same passion. Ofc they become friends.

Now both of them have another side, though. For ages, there has been an underground battle between the ninja and the Yakuza. This goes back like 300 years and the ninjas are supposed to keep the balance or something.

Now the Yakuza guys have found like a drug that seems like a sticker or something that keeps it in their tongues and they get superhuman powers. The Ninjas already have powers like these due to secret arts and training.

Shinoha Tanaka is like one of the top 8 ninjas, while Kiwami Kimura is the leader of the Yakuza and ofc nobody knows about each other. What will happen at the end? Only 7 episodes are out so we will see!

Good & Bad

The animation is good and indeed, there are a lot of fight scenes, so at least you can say it is enjoyable. There is no depth to the anime in terms of explanations regarding the powers. Take it as granted that everyone has like superhuman powers like they are the Avengers or something. There is also blood and gore scenes but due to the nature of this anime it's not like some scary.

In general every seems a bit too much for my taste, not a deep plot, not extremely good actions and characters, simply something to kill time. The best character, in my opinion, is Gamute,a freaking lunatic :P The voice actor of Gamute also does an extremely good job, so i basically kept on watching it because of that lunatic :P
