My Walk at the Mangga Village: A Paradise for Plant Lovers
Going to the Mangga Village at the Capitol Grounds is my daily activity now, hehehe. The warm breeze and the lively energy always draw me back. Today, I want to take you guys along on my afternoon walk through the bright and busy Guimaras Manggahan Agri-trade fair.

The main path was a celebration of color. High above the ground, rows of bright flags danced in the wind. There were red, blue, yellow, and green banderitas stretching as far as the eye could see. Below them, stalls were packed with local goods, from sweet treats to bottled delicacies. People were smiling, chatting, and enjoying the beautiful day.

As I walked further, the bustling market gave way to a quiet, fresh paradise. The air smelled like rich soil and sweet flowers. This was the plant section, and it was absolutely beautiful. 😍
There was so much to look at. I saw pots of variegated lemons with their unique leaves, purple passion fruits ready to climb, and young lychee trees. Tucked between them were delicate orchids with deep purple petals and classic, sweet-smelling roses.
Everywhere I looked, there was something green and growing. Some pots held tiny, bright green pine trees, while others showed off bushes with brilliant yellow and green leaves.

I kept walking straight ahead and found a wonderful bougainvillea grower. I could not take my eyes off the pretty flowers. These plants were bursting with color.
One large bush had bright red blooms right next to creamy white ones on the very same branch. This is a pretty combination.

Another pot held soft, candy-pink flowers against green and white leaves.

My favorite was a delicate bloom that was split right down the middle, half bright pink and half pale peach. It looked like a painting. 😍 It has a single flower on a stem, which makes it so special.

My husband came along and went straight to the bonsai section. He was eyeing a very pretty, twisted bougainvillea bonsai. It had a thick, strong trunk and a cloud of bright pink flowers at the top. It looked like a miniature tree from a fairy tale. But when we checked the price tag, it was very expensive. I am aware that bonsais are a bit expensive, but I was still surprised 😁
We didn't bring the bonsai home, but we brought back a camera full of beautiful colors and a happy memory of our afternoon walk. I think I am going back there to get the gradient one.
Anyway, here are the rest of the pretty flower photos I took. Enjoy 🥰
