Well Known Road .:. Wednesday Walk

Recently, I saw a couple of posts on Hive regarding going out of the comfort zone, or how the real growth happens only when we move out, to the unknown, to the uncomfortable... I suppose we all know that, or we became aware of it in our lives... The theory is out, but to stick to it, and to take action, that´s a different beast...

IMG_20260106_161252.jpg

IMG_20260106_161620.jpg

Speaking from personal experience, I went out of the comfy zone many times in the past... The biggest challenge for an introvert is to go out to the open, to the social network, or to speak in front of the public... (That was very uncomfortable 😃)...

IMG_20260106_164514.jpg

Moving to a different country, after that, changing the place of living isn´t easy either... And then, when I look at these photos, I realize that I went back to the ¨zone¨... I went back for a walk around the familiar paths where I lived for the last year... There is nature all around in the new place, but the old one is nicer... Or it just looks like that... "First love never fades."

IMG_20260106_161732.jpg

IMG_20260106_162847.jpg

This place isn´t my birthplace or first love, but somehow, I connected with it... The bond is created...

IMG_20260106_161551.jpg

IMG_20260106_162049.jpg

So, here I am... Back to the roots... When I began my HIVE journey, the first step was Splinterlands, the second was Actifit! I did dozens, if not hundreds, of Actifit reports on my second account, where I mostly shared photos from my walks... Because of the ¨niche¨ on those photos, some called me Mr.Flower... hehehe. My Actifit reports were full of flower images! 🌹

IMG_20260106_162107.jpg

IMG_20260106_162210.jpg

As of moving to an area which is more famous for vineyards, I have missed the orange groves in bloom... It´s great to see orange fruits and flowers in the same tree, but it´s even better to SMELL the bloom! Anyway, seeing fresh oranges on trees was satisfying too... 😃

IMG_20260106_163206.jpg

IMG_20260106_163845.jpg

Speaking of oranges, this camping site is called Orange Grove! 😃 I was trying to pull out a perfect photo of different flags, when the van came out and stopped there... 🤦‍♂ Another photo ruined... 😂

IMG_20260106_163210.jpg

The following photo series is for @tengolotodo, as, if I remember well, he said that he knows only one type of Bougainvillea plant and flower (color)... I got you back, buddy... Here you can find 3 types... 😃

IMG_20260106_163115.jpg

Somewhere behind the big tree, far away, at the end of the hill, is my today's goal... the sea... 🙂

IMG_20260106_163503.jpg

...before going there, look on the other side... Very unusual image for this part of Spain... Usually, everything is burnt by the sun, but during the winter, you can see scenery like this... Green grass like it's Spring!

IMG_20260106_164911.jpg

IMG_20260106_164906.jpg

I heard that this cactus is locally called trepador, which could be translated as a climber... It's real, the common name is Dragon fruit, and it has a beautiful flower when it blooms...

IMG_20260106_165238.jpg

This one would like to escape from the garden... "Heeeelp me..." 😀

IMG_20260106_165243.jpg

Hawaiian Lilly is one of my favorite flowers... It is surreal, and when you see it IRL, you would think it's some plastic creation... Those flowers are huge!

IMG_20260106_165322.jpg

IMG_20260106_165331.jpg

IMG_20260106_165343.jpg

My tryout to take a macro photo of the inner part of the flower... Look at those colors and lines... Nature is perfect!

IMG_20260106_165354.jpg

IMG_20260106_164938.jpg

IMG_20260106_165454.jpg

IMG_20260106_165613.jpg

We are closer and closer to our goal... only a few steps more...

IMG_20260106_171415.jpg

And here we are! Maybe we could go straight, but I didn't have a bathing suit with me, and the weather wasn't for bathing... 😀

IMG_20260106_171526.jpg

IMG_20260106_171542.jpg

Looking to the left... Looking to the right... Time to go home...

IMG_20260106_171537.jpg

Thanks for your company for this walk... See you at the next one!

Thank you for your time.

Thought there would be a show today. But then again I was busy all day.
I'm glad you are taking memorable walls near the beach.

Unfortunately, my offline weekly schedule got messed up, and Wednesdays became one of the busiest days of the week... Not sure when/if I will continue with the show... At the moment, I can't move my duties from that day to some other... 😞

But, I miss all the gang from the show... Hopefully, I will find another time and day for doing it...

I see, well you can just move the podcast to Thursdays if it's that impossible to do it on Wednesday.

It's not that simple... will see... For now, the show is "on the break"...

The perfect walk, ending up at the sea. Looking forward to getting a bit of coast time this year, wherever that may be.

I also started with flowers. Then I continued with kaleidoscopes of my flowers. Then (because I was obsessed with kaleidoscopes) I asked others if I could use their photos for kaleidoscopes... now I see it as socializing :)
Can I use some of your photos for kaleidoscopes? 😀 ...back to the roots ...

Hehehehe.. Of course you can! I don't mind at all...
If you can create something cool and beautiful, it can only be beneficial to others! 🍻

Moving away from your home home to your new home all the way to the west in Spain, is definitely: "Going out of your Comfort Zone!" Going Social Media like HIVE, is for sure as hell also very much the same. I can attest that! But what about showing up at the first HIVE meetup somewhere? That in itself was - for me - a big thing, totally out of my comfort zone. Am mucho happy I met you and mrs Piano when I went out to my first HIVE meetup. And also super happy I was there when hyou did your first preso at an HIVE meetup! Out of comfort zone for you, great fun to watch and listen to for the audience. You did - very - well!

Thank you for your kind words! 😍

I would never say it was out of your comfort zone... You are super-social compared to some others (khm khm)... At least, I didn't notice you had any issues blending with others, and meeting other people... (btw. We mentioned you a couple of times to Ana... hehehehe... You are her favorite Hive person... As she doesn't use HIVE, you are Edward and not edje 😃)

Am mucho happy I met you and mrs Piano when I went out to my first HIVE meetup.

The pleasure was ours! Hopefully, we will meet in Alicante in May, and soonish, once in Amsterdam, too! 🍻

Don't be fooled. I do my best, but it is out of my comfort zone. Depends on the situation. Sometimes I can feel quickly at ease with someone, but that is not the norm.

Please say 'hi' to Ana! and tell her to post something. Your wife already created an account for her, I believe.

Hopefully, we will meet in Alicante in May

I got myself a meetup ticket. Unless the 'Gods' interfere, I will be in Alicante.

Yeah, I created her account before we came to Graz, but unfortunately, somehow we didn't manage to find time to set up things on her phone/tablet... I didn't want to push too much.

Tomorrow is her birthday, so we will send your greetings! Hopefully, there will be time to install Ecency or something on her phone...

Wooohooo! I hope you took a bit more days before and after, so that we can have some peaceful time when things settle down with the event :)

I created her account

You did! Great 🙏🎶 I should do the same for my friends, when they dont do themselves, slowly push them into HIVE 😆

Hopefully, there will be time to install Ecency or something on her phone...

Do it! Even when she says no. Or even better, get her phone without noticing and load the thing with Ecency.

Tomorrow is her birthday

Well, add 'Congrats' to it and sing a little song from me, in my voice when possible? 😆😆😆

you took a bit more days before and after

I didn't book any flights and accommodations yet. First wanted to comms with you both and plan accordingly. We will over TG or something. Soon.

Ah yes the first one is what I would picture as a typical Bougainvillea so thank you for the selection hehe!
When I read the opening line of your post, I was thinking yep that is me, I have been stepping out of my comfort zone since was a wee kid that I wonder if they zones got reversed!

Some cracking pictures there, Mr Flowerman!

Hahahaha... So, for you, there is a new rule... "Stay in the comfort zone!" 😂

Thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you like the photos... 😉

It looks like a great walk. You got to see quite a few new things, and I think it's amazing to see all those flowers around.

It's a very calm route among oranges, flowers, and this time of the year is probably the best for a walk around... It's not too hot, and everything is greener than usual... ;)

It's true, the first place you come to after moving to a new country is like the first love, a unique connection is created. That happens to me in the city where I am. Orange trees... I can smell the flowers, bringing back memories of my garden far away... the flowers of three different colours, we called them Santa Rita in my family, and there are more colours!

I am fascinated by the flowers and the sea, thank you for this walk!!!🤗

That's interesting, what you said! When I moved to another city (the same country), to study, I did have a feeling that I lived there, but somehow, I knew it was only temporary... Probably because of that, I didn't create the "bond."

I mean, when we moved here, I didn't make a decision, "this is for now and forever", but the bond was created... just like you said... The first place, in an unknown country and town... It's like a hard reset... 😃

Thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you liked the photos... Will try to do more of flowers and the sea in the future... I miss my old Actifit habit and posts...

Those of us who have moved countries understand what it feels like... it's something that happens at the level of the soul... the detachment, the starting from scratch. I only brought two suitcases and a cat... it's like being born again, but with nothing.

I even take pictures of the air🤣

I only brought two suitcases and a cat...

We did almost the same, but without a cat... 😃 Then, in the following years, we moved a few things more, but nothing too big...

I even take pictures of the air🤣

Hahahahaha... How did you manage to do that? 😂

I wasn't going to leave my children ... everyone in the family brought a cat hahaha, my cat helped me cope with the loneliness. She is my companion and protector.

Well... witches can photograph anything and so can aliens. So there are little paricles in the air hahaha.

It's been a while since I've seen such beautiful oranges... You've reminded me how long it's been since I've had citrus fruits like those...

There you go! Hit the market, pick up some oranges and lemons, and have a good, natural, healthy juice! 🍹

Yes! I understood, but it was me who didn't express myself clearly enough to let you know that we unfortunately don't have citrus fruits in the markets here.
