Like every week, today is “Wednesday Outing,” so I wanted to share with you, my dear friends who read my posts in this wonderful community, a trip I took with a group of coworkers from the company where I work. It turns out that the human resources department wanted to treat its employees who have been working for them for over 25 years to a trip to explore and visit some of the landmarks of the Jiménez municipality, such as the famous Quibor jar.
Early in the morning, we left my workplace on a bus that the department had hired to take us on a tour and show us several iconic sites in that municipality. You won’t believe it, but it’s a municipality that’s quite close to where I live—about 30 minutes away. Of the places we visited, I wasn’t familiar with some of them, because I had only ever passed through that municipality but hadn’t had the chance to get off the bus or my own car to take in these sights, the natural surroundings, and breathe in the fresh air.
The municipality of Jiménez is very well maintained and painted, particularly the Quíbor jar, which is an iconic symbol of Larense craftsmanship and pre-Hispanic culture in Venezuela, found in these lands of Quíbor. The symbol of this municipality is a beautiful vessel representing a fired clay tripod, symbolizing the artisanal skill of the Quíbor region.

In short, the tinaja is not only a traditional clay vessel for cooling water, but the concept of “La Tinaja” in Quíbor represents the identity, history, and craftsmanship of the artisans in that municipality. It is frequently visited by tourists who come to the municipality to see this beautiful work of art.

During this tour, I managed to take some photos of the entire avenue. Upon arriving in Quíbor, the first thing we came across was the Quíbor jar, located right next to a roundabout that connects us to Quíbor, Cubiro, and other small towns located very close to the municipality of Jiménez.

On this hike, I noticed that the clouds were quite clear, with no rain. By the time I returned, it was already 6:00 p.m., and I was able to enjoy the beautiful sunset for a few minutes.

Como cada semana hoy es miércoles de paseo, por lo que quise compartir con ustedes mis queridos amigos que me leen en esta gran comunidad, lo que fue un paseo que realice con un grupo de compañeras del sitio donde laboro. Resulta ser que la jefatura de gestión humana, quiso darle a sus trabajadores que tienen mas de 25 años laborando para ellos un paseo para conocer y visitar alguno de los iconos del municipio Jiménez como laos la famosa tinaja de quibor.
Desde muy tempranas horas salimos de mi sitio de trabajo en un autobús que contrato ese departamento para pasearnos, darnos un recorrido y conocer varios sitios emblemáticos de ese municipio, no me van a creer, es un municipios que esta bastante cerca de mi sitio de residencia, a unos 30 minutos. De los sitios que visitamos algunos no los conocía, porque solo había pasado por tal municipio, pero no había tenido la oportunidad de bajarme del autobús o carro particular para contemplar estos sitios, su naturaleza y también para tomar aire natural.
El municipio Jiménez esta muy cuidado y bien pintado, en particular la tinaja de Quíbor que es un símbolo icónico de la artesanía larense y la cultura prehispánica en Venezuela, que se da en esta tierras de Quíbor. El símbolo de este municipio es una linda vasija que representa un trípode de barro cocido, simboliza la destreza artesanal de la región de Quíbor.

En resumen, la tinaja no solo es un utensilio tradicional de arcilla para refrescar agua, sino que el concepto de "La Tinaja" en Quíbor representa la identidad, la historia y la habilidad manual de los artesanos de ese municipio. Es muy visitado por diferentes turistas que llegan al municipio para observar esta linda obra.

Durante este recorrido logre capturar algunas fotos de toda la avenida, al llegar a Quíbor lo primero que encontramos es la tinaja de Quíbor y esta justo al rededor de una redoma que nos comunica hacia quibor, cubiro y otros pueblitos que ese encuentran muy cerca del municipio jimenez.

En este recorrido observe las nubes que estaban bastante claras, libres de agua. De regreso ya eran las seis de la tarde, pudiendo contemplar por unos minutos el atardecer super bello.

He pasado por ahí en mis anteriores viajes al estado Zulia a visitar a mi familia, y siempre me impresionó esa tinaja gigante. Que bonito como exaltan la cultura de su tierra.
