Hola #hivers, estoy saliendo de una semana agitada (y entrando en otra posiblemente igual o peor), pero me tomé unos minutos para compartirles este amigo que me dio la sorpresa de su visita el otro día.

Resulta que ayer puse a secar ropa en los cordeles, pero como estaba amenazando lluvia subí antes de lo planificado, para ver si podía recoger la ropa y evitar que se mojara. Pero no, no fue posible, estaba húmeda todavía, a pesar (o quizás por esa humedad) me encontré a este amigo de acá descansando en mis sábanas, bastante confiado, la verdad. Me permitió acercarme bastante para hacer fotos, casi creo que estaba posando para las fotos, literalmente. Porque con esos ojos no hay manera de que no me haya visto. Como pueden ver, exhibe colores impresionantes, así que aproveché para hacerle algunas imágenes.

Este que ven arriba es un insecto (como pueden ver, tiene 6 patas). Ojo, si algo no tiene 6 patas, entonces no es un insecto (descontando insectos mutilados). Del orden Odonata, libélulas pa los cuantes. Es de los insectos voladores más antiguos que existen y me parecen fascinantes. Este específicamente pertenece a un grupo llamado Anisoptera que, como pueden ver, tiene las alas fijas, o sea, las mueven, porque si no, poca función tendrían, pero no son capaces de plegarlas, por eso, cuando están en reposo, como este, las mantienen así, completamente desplegadas.

A mí me llaman la atención principalmente los patrones que desarrollan en las alas, me parecen súper impresionantes y hasta un poco hipnóticos. ¿Ustedes qué creen?

Pero bueno, hice mis fotos y lo dejé tranquilo que terminara de descansar, regresé a mis tareas del día, y como llovió ligeramente creo que decidió seguir su camino porque en la tarde cuando regresé a recoger la ropa, ya no estaba.

He let me get quite close to take pictures. I almost think he was posing for the photos, literally. Because with those eyes, there's no way he didn't see me. As you can see, he has impressive colors, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures of him.

The creature you see above is an insect (as you can see, it has six legs). Keep in mind that if something doesn't have six legs, then it's not an insect (except for mutilated insects). It belongs to the order Odonata, or dragonflies. They are among the oldest flying insects in existence, and I find them fascinating.
