The money attached is the root of abuse on social media platforms
Anything involving money can be a double-edged sword of evil. It can be challenging to maintain a sense of responsibility. Many individuals have turned social media into a platform for personal gain, always prioritizing views and revenue over moral considerations. What I'm particular about is the willingness to post immoral content by some individuals solely to attract an increased audience and increase earnings, as they say, the larger the views, the higher the income. This trend raises questions about the values and priorities of those who use social media to create and share content.
This topic is in two ways; where some people view social media as a blessing, while others see it as a curse. On the other hand, it has opened up avenues for content creators, comedians, influencers, entrepreneurs, and many others to thrive. However, the rate at which low-quality and immoral content in pursuit of views and revenue is being published is a major concern. We begin to wonder why has social media turned this way🤷
I'm a follower of some people who have used this social to make money, as in they are in big money, people like Hair tutorials, Benny Omoedo, Nancyumeh, Tahooma, Angienation, and the rest. These sets of people are wise in using their social media handles to enlarge their coasts. Anytime they make a post, thousands of people in just two minutes have viewed it already and their bank accounts keep increasing as a result of monetization 👌 Reason why so many people get serious with what they know best even the young ones are also all over the internet showcasing their hidden talents.
It is beneficial when valuable content is shared on social media, rather than waking up to find disturbing or immoral posts that prioritize viewership over substance. Much of the illegal content that circulates on the internet would likely not be produced if there were no financial incentives attached. Some groups of individuals with unreasonable content are found in this category.
Currently, social media often feels like a dumping ground for illegal content, driven by the audience's appetite for more. You know people embrace nonsense to something of great value🤷 Some of this compromises the integrity of these platforms, making it difficult for users to differentiate between fact and fiction. At times, after seeing the headlines, I don't bother to go further. Greed has led some individuals to post low-quality content, fake news, fraudulent activities, controversial posts, hate speech, and clickbait, thereby misusing the online environment.
While monetization has created opportunities and a means of livelihood for many, we should not forget how it has also introduced significant challenges to some individuals. The establishment of an impartial regulatory body to oversee social media activities could help address these issues. Striking a balance between opportunity and responsible content sharing is a way to go for healthier online safety.
Note: I'm not saying it is wrong to monetize Social Media, but we need a regulatory body to oversee the affairs of the social media environment.

Content creators don't care about the kinds of content they put out there; all they are after is the revenue that comes with it.
But then I don't think the government can regulate that area, though.
They can if they want to👌 it's a matter of censorship
Exactly, something that involves money has a way to effect one individual mind set....
Social Media Handles have benefits alot of persons who monetized their account and what matters alot is what is being communicated....
Exactly my point☝️
What's been communicated matters a lot👌
You will open some rubbish and hiss as if you should slap the poster😂
Smile 😁
People now value irrelevant stuff than the real ones and content creators keep posting them knowing it is what people like to read and also generate traffic that makes them earn more. Social media monetization is indeed a blessing but there are those who choose to go the illegal way to make money.

It going to be hard to regular it, except parents will start by regulating what the children or young adults post online
A parent who does not care won't bother to monitor their children and they are about 90% of this world👌
