What are you collecting?

Hello everyone, how are you? Today we are gonna talk about collectibles! For around 2 years now, i decided to get into collecting. I think that the main reasons that led me to it are the following:

1 I can now afford to spend some money to it while in the past i couldn't. I think that's the main reason as without money i could only collect leaves and stones or something.

2 Nostalgia. I think that most of the collectors out there are collecting things based on Nostalgia. Ofc there are some who do it as a form of an investment, some as they have fun with it, or pretty much everything together. The ones that do it for quick bucks are called scalpers.

In any case nostalgia hits when for example you watched a movie as a kid or teen , or played a game, or read a book that left an impact on your life. It doesn't need to be something life-changing; you could simply have had a lot of fun playing a certain game.

3 Art appreciation. Some of the collectibles i hold are simply because i pretty much like the art behind. I just stare at these collectibles and admire them. Simple as that.

Now let's move on to what i am currently collecting. Sadly because i collect a lot of different things, i have only a couple of each collection, let's say. So without further delay below you can check what i am currently collecting:

Funko Pops

I really like Funko Pops and there are way too many out there and keep on coming. I prefer to have them in the box and staring at them. Even though in the pictures below you may see some funko pops related to anime, i literally collect everything that i like. I have some that are related to movies, cartoons and games.

In both pictures, you can see some Funko Pops from my collection. If you check closely up and right you can see the same number 1409. The difference is that one of each has a sticker mentioning "CHASE".

In general some Funko Pops like the ones above come in two versions. The simple one that has no sticker or limited edition one and the chase version is let's say a variable that is a bit rarer to find and has something different in terms of the appearance. For example in the first picture, even though both are identical at first glance, if you use light on the chase version, her eyes will glow!

Silver Coins

Silver coins are something that i really like but i have only a few. Even though they are considered a good form of investment i only collect them because i really like the designs. For example this Panda below is the first one i got and my only one. Pretty cool ha?

Pokemon and One Piece cards

This is a new one as i really really like the art in some of these cards. Ofc if you like Pokémon and One Piece like me, knowing the characters and Pokémon everything gets even better. Below you can see some One Piece which are looking pretty cool and are not even something rare!

Here you can see graded card, meaning that anyone can send and pay a company that specializes in grading cards in order let's say to get certification that not only is his card genuine but spotless.

Here is where the money easy and why Pokemon are so damn everywhere these days. You can have a rare card that may worth let's say 50$-100$ and then you pay, depending on where you are located 20$-50$ for a grading and if it gets a let's say 10/1,0 then its value can go x2-5.

This one isn't valued that high, i think around 30-40$, i simply liked it and bought but in general i prefer to have my cards as in the first picture and in a binder to check them out instead of doing this whole grading/buying/selling thing!
