My Hive Goals for 2025, The Week in Review

This year I have completed many of my goals very early on which has felt great. It has also freed up more funds to focus on the more minor goals as well as invest in new projects. I do have some more goals in mind for my HP and other second layer tokens but I may hold off on calling them official goals until next year.

One token that has been really exciting over the past few weeks is LEO. It recently plateaued at $0.26 cents before having a correction and some profit taking, as one would expect, with new highs. However, the bleeding seems to have stopped and the price is stabilizing around $0.20. The LEO tokenomics 2.0 has really spurred a lot of excitement.

They have released their new token SURGE and LSTR. You can read up on it here if you are interested with this link. Personally I haven't made any decisions on further investment, but if they do get significant volume on the LeoDex it could become very profitable and be a great asset for Hive. It could also be very profitable to investors, so I am reviewing and watching things progress carefully. Anything that strengthens Hive is a good thing in my eyes!

Bitcoin

Bitcoin has been up and down but holding steady around $117,000 for a support level. What I have found interesting on the chart is the volume over that last day or so which I've circles in blue. We might be consolidating for a very big push to new highs, I'm crossing my fingers! Then again the opposite could also very well happen as well...

I'm hoping for some more gains in BTC, but I would also like to see much more action in the alts which have been far behind BTC. In particular, it would be nice to see Hive being dragged up in price along with all of the alts, but this alt season has been pretty much nonexistent. Let's just hope it's late and coming in October or November, but as we all know there are no certainties in crypto!

Moving onto my Hive goals for the year... I joined the Saturday Savers group to help me achieve my goals here on Hive more expeditiously. It really has helped! This month the group is on hiatus, but I thought I'd include and update since I skipped last week.

Completed Goals so far in 2025

Hive Power

My primary goal of the year was to reach 10,000 HP which I already surpassed a couple weeks ago.

HP 10,298 (103% complete)

PIMP

My secondary goal of the year. It's a great token that is backed by both BTC and physical silver. I'm slowly heading for 100K! That may become a goal for next year!

Goal: 50,000

Instead of staking my new PIMP earnings I'm keeping them liquid to place in liquidity pools to increase my earnings!

LEO

This goal I finished up before LEO tokenomics 2.0 kicked into effect, I'm glad I did because that price has surged. It's correcting a bit now, let's see if another push is to follow! I'm still delegating to leo.voter to earn LEO tokens as well.

PIZZA

This was nice to finish up. I get 15 tips a day to use as a bonus and occasionally a curation as well!

DUO

I expect to pick up much more DUO in the coming months, I picked up quite a few this past week. The next section will get you more info on DUO, it a great token to invest in!

DUO

Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day. For those who stake 500 or more you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well. The more DUO you stake, the higher your daily dividends.

We have opened up another day to offer guest posting on our @duo-curator . Just check the last update post for details on how to participate. It benefits newer authors as they can earn more and get more exposure. We are also about to start our first campaign to recruit new members. I'll share more once the plan is finalized.

PAKX

I am continuing to delegate to @pakx to earn more PAKX tokens (and soon will increasing the delegation), and continue to seek out good deals on Hive Engine to increase my stake. I picked up a few at a great deal this past week and I'm hoping for more. It's a great project and each PAKX that is produced is backed by two Hive currently, but as the project grows each PAKX will be backed by more Hive per unit. I think it's a great investment, and as a bonus you get daily liquid Hive dividends and a tip call once you hold at least ten on the tokens. The tip call is very generous providing curation to the post you choose to support.

It directly helps support the Hive Pakistan community to recruit and retain new talented authors here on Hive which is a very positive goal in my mind!

EDSI

I'm continuing to delegate 2500 HP the @eds-vote . This is earning me weekly EDSI tokens and curations, if you can spare the HP I highly recommend the investment.

EDSI: 166.935 (83.5% complete)
Goal: 200

I'll likely need to supplement my tokens earned with some purchases to reach 200, but I'll decide that later in the year.

CCD

I have over 500K CCD staked and am slowly increasing that number. For holding the 500K I can claim two free HSBI every week which is a nice perk. Those with one million staked can claim a free HSBI daily, also those who hold 100K can claim a free HSBI every month. I didn't buy any this week, possibly this next week!

I do delegate HP to @cryptocompany to earn free CCD tokens as well.

Precious Metals

I've been a collector of coins and precious metals since my youth and it's an important part of my life. Today I'll review some of the best metals in which to invest (in my opinion anyway!)

Platinum

Platinum is holding strong at higher price levels on continued shortages. This is not only used in jewelry but is a key component in catalytic converters in petroleum powered vehicle along with rhodium. These shortages can't be solved overnight and may take years to fully catch up with demand. I expect more upward price action in this metal in the coming months.

Silver

Silver has stalled out a little in the upward momentum, but if you look at the one year chart you get a clearer picture of the overall market. It's still undervalued and prices will likely continue to climb and more countries hoard it for it's reserve value. It's also used heavily in industrial products and jewelry. I'm still betting on silver at $45 to $50 per Troy ounce by the end of the year.

Gold

Gold had a slight downturn this week, but if you look at the YTD chart you get a clearer picture. Over the last couple months it has leveled out, but gold has been increasing in value consistently since the 1990's. I wouldn't be surprised to see $4K per Troy ounce by New Year's and I think it's great investment even at the current high prices.

Rhodium

Rhodium continues to show strength and momentum. This very rare metal is found in platinum deposits in only a few places on earth and is key component of catalytic converters in petroleum fueled vehicles. It is also used in jewelry as rhodium coatings are much more durable than other metals.

Twice over the past decade we have seen prices of this metal skyrocket to around $30,000 per Troy ounce. It looks like it may be preparing for another run as shortages of the metal are getting worse. One of the main countries where it is found is Russia and the current political mess over Ukraine is limiting outflow out of Russia. If you are interested in investing, Kitco is one of the few companies that buy/sell the metal, it's has locations in the US and Canada.

The rhodium rocket may be getting ready to fly again!
