EN-PT Pruning and budding of the vines!

I’m back posting in the community for my annual update on my vines. I carried out the annual pruning as usual, making some adjustments to correct the growth direction I intend to give to my single plant.

This was the condition during the winter, and the plant starts to wither and looks like it’s going to die. But in fact, it’s just going into its dormancy period. Based on the weather forecasts for my region, the intense cold had passed, so I decided to bring forward the pruning to the month of July. Specifically on July 22, 2025.

The expectation is that by bringing it forward by one month, I might be able to harvest grapes in December this year instead of January next year. This is a test, so we don’t know the result yet!

Only the branches that look dry were left. But that’s not true… just wait for time to do its job and the sprouting will appear! Soon we’ll be able to see the new branches and leaves, and of course, I hope for plenty of fruit!

Today, September 7, 2025, we can see the first sprouts. It’s very satisfying to see the plants we care for growing so vigorously. A few days of sunshine will make these leaves grow and expand quickly.

In this photo with macro mode on, we have the right branch with a sprout in focus and in the background, blurred, the other sprouts starting to bloom. Soon the huge green leaves will be full!

And here are the desired fruits! We can already see the development of the grape clusters that will make up the new harvest! By the number of berries, we can expect beautiful fruits, with plenty of volume. It will be many kilos of harvest, and I’ll take the chance to share with friends and family!

Estou de volta postando na comunidade para minha atualização anual das minhas videiras. Eu realizei a poda anual como de costume, fazendo alguns ajustes para corrigir a direção do crescimento que eu pretendo dar para minha única planta.

Essa era a condição durante o inverno, e a planta vai definhando e parece que vai morrer. Mas na verdade vai entrar no período de dormência. Pelas previsões do clima na minha região, o frio intenso teria passado e então eu resolvi antecipar a poda para o mês de julho. Especificamente no dia 22 de julho de 2025.

A expectativa é que antecipando em um mês, eu poderia colher uvas ainda em dezembro deste ano, ao invés de janeiro do ano que vem. Isso é um teste, e então não sabemos o resultado!

Sobrou apenas os ramos que parece que estão secos. Mas isso não é verdade... basta aguardo o tempo fazer seu trabalho e a brotação vai aparecer! Em breve poderemos ver os novos ramos e folhas, e claro que espero que tenham muito frutos!

Hoje, 7 de setembro de 2025, podemos ver as primeiras brotações. É muito satisfatório ver as plantas que cuidamos crescendo com tanto vigor. Alguns dias de sol vão fazer essas folhas crescerem e se expandirem rapidamente.

Nesta foro com macro ativado temos a rama direita com uma brotação em destaque e ao fundo, desfocadas, as demais brotações começando a desabrochar. Logo estarão cheias as enormes folhas verdes!

E aqui estão os desejados frutos! Já podemos ver o desenvolvimento dos cachos de uva que irão compor a nova safra! Pela quantidade de grãos podemos esperar belas frutas, com bastante volume. Serão muitos quilos de colheita, vou aproveitar para dividir com amigos e familiares!
