Melody Of A Dream

When I opened my grandmother’s music box, it played a tune I’d never heard before. It was a lullaby I had never heard before. The soft chords in the air put me in a trance, enveloping me in a warm and familiar embrace.

Little by little, it became impossible for me to keep my eyes open. I felt sleepy, and before I knew it, I fell into a deep sleep. And I could still hear that soothing music, echoing in my mind like an echo.

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a landscape that strangely felt nostalgic. I was in a vast and magnificent garden of golden grass, where the sun shone with a warm light. The sky was orange, as if sunset had decided to stay forever. There, on top of a hill, I saw my grandmother.

“Come here, dear!” she called, with open arms. Without hesitation, I ran towards her, feeling the golden grass under my feet. It was as if time did not exist; all that mattered was that shared moment.

We began to collect stones from the ground, but in that world they were colorful gems.

“Do you remember when we used to do this in the old garden?” my grandmother asked, smiling. My heart filled with warmth as I heard her voice again after so long.
As we collected the gems, I noticed that each one sparkled in my basket, radiating the sun's glow.

Suddenly, the rhythm of the melody playing in the background began to change, becoming more intense, filled with joy and melancholy. Each note reflected my feelings, how much I missed my grandmother, a bond that cannot be easily broken, even with the distance that separated us...

“This garden is our eternal refuge,” was the last thing my grandmother said to me before I woke up from my dream.

In the end, the music box had not only been a forgotten object in the attic, but a magical door to a world where my grandmother and I would one day be.
