Hello Splinterlands Summoners and welcome to another edition of Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! Another season has ended as we get closer to the release of #ConclaveArcana. I reached Diamond II again this season. My SPS staked was increased to 7,200 as it's price is increasing in anticipation for the release of the new set. We also finished another guild brawl and I bought some Gladius cases to add to my collection.

End of Season Rewards

I finished the season with over one hundred fifty thousand (150,000) Glints which I used to purchase four legendary chests. I'm already happy with the levels of my common, rare and epic cards and now I'm building my legendary card collection before Chaos Legion moves to the Wild League.

The cards I got from the legendary chests, I got a new one, the Blackmoor Jinx. It's an Earth splinter, one mana card that has the Snipe ability. A good card to add to my collection.

I was able to upgrade Sergeant Grauzral to level two where she gained a powerful ability, Blast!

Guild Brawl

In our last guild brawl, our guild finished in seventh place with sixty six wins against one hundred two loses, not our best performance to be honest.

I contributed five wins out of eight battles and we earned four thousand one hundred merits and fifty five SPS. It's still a nice reward inspite of our seventh place finish.

I have over eleven thousand merits which I used to purchase five Gladius cases. Each Gladius case contain five cards with one guaranteed rare or higher. I'm hoping to get lucky this time.

The twenty five new cards I got from the Gladius cases and two of them are legendary! I got my first copy of Tatiana Blayde. She is a neutral card with dual attack of ranged and melee. She also has the Close Ranged ability so she can do damage with ranged attack even at first position. I also got another copy of Fina Voxom.

I was able to upgrade a couple of cards from my latest Gladiator cards haul.

Liza Fox, a rare Death splinter card was upgraded to level four. She gained the Stun ability. Chimney Wallstop is a common Fire splinter card. He levelled up to five and gained the Repair ability.

Featured Battle

My favorite battle from the Brawl has Odd Ones Out, Explosive Weaponry and Holy Protection rulesets. I picked the a Dragon summoner with the Light Splinter.

My Team

Quix Summoner

Quix is a legendary dragon summoner. He debuffs the opponent team by decreasing their speed and ranged damage by one. Being a dragon summoner, I can use him with any splinter but I usually pick the Light splinter.

Drybone Barbarian (tank)

The Drybone Barbarian is a great tank who I use in Odd Ones Out ruleset. He deals massive melee damage of five which can be increased with his Enrage ability. He also has the Retaliate ability which allows him a chance to counterattack for enemy hits.

Night Reaper (second position)

The Night Reaper is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards. I use him especially for Earthquake rulesets where its Wingbreak ability is devastating to enemy Flying units. In this battle however, I picked the Night Reaper because of its Deflect ability which makes it immune to Blast damage. This makes it perfect for the second position.

Djinn Renova (third position)

Djinn Renova is a versatile card which deals decent magic damage but also has great support abilities. In this battle, I take advantage of her Strengthen ability granting one extra health to all my units.

Larissa Kerato (fourth position)

Larissa Kerato is a legendary card and one of my favorite damage dealers. She deals two magic damage and has the Double Strike ability. In Explosive Weaponry ruleset, her damage potential becomes truly devastating. Having Double Strike along with Blast can quickly reduce the enemy units.

Dragon Egg Forager (fifth position)

The Dragon Egg Forager with its Opportunity ability is especially damaging in Explosive Weaponry ruleset since it has the potential to damage three units.

Uraeus (sixth position)

Uraeus will deal damage to the enemy backline with its Sneak ability. Low health units are usually placed in the backline and with Blast damage, it can eliminate support and damage dealers.

The Opponent Team

My opponent also chose the Dragon/Light splinter combo. He also used the Dragon Barbarian as a tank but in second position he used Marisol Contuma. He is a powerful Gladiator card that deals five melee damage. He also has the Dragon Egg Forager in his team and another Gladiator card, Captain Katie. In the back, he has a good support unit, Ujurak Elder and Luceheim Demon with its Snipe ability.

The Battle

Both our tanks got eliminated but I had an advantage because my second position unit was undamaged while his Marisol Contuma is already in the brink of death. My Gladiator card, Larissa Kerato also got her Bloodlust going as she racked up some kills. These led to my victory in battle.
