Can Tarantula Loom Immobilize Bloodlings?
While playing Soulkeep, I was always tired of Fiends running fast and sliding between defenses, especially the Bloodlings. They're truly terrifying, flying across the map like demons I needed a card that not only hits them, but also slows them down or stops them for a bit until I found Tarantula Loom, and that was exactly what I was looking for.
As soon as I saw this card's features, I felt it was specifically designed to stop Bloodlings. Its attack type is area, meaning it hits multiple players at once, which is great for groupings.
It also has a wide Blast Range of up to 95, which means it can reach large areas, which is very important if you want to cover as much ground as possible. True, it fires every 3 seconds, but the attack is heavy, dealing 60 to 75 damage. It also has a feature no other card has: it paralyzes the enemy for 0.3 to 0.51 seconds.
You might say, "Half a second of paralysis? That's a small number. But try it in a crowd, and you'll feel the difference. This small moment gives the other towers a chance to hit and making your defensive plan run like clockwork.
I personally used it three times in strategic positions on the map, especially near narrow passages where Bloodlings quickly pass. Every time it fires, it blocks their path, giving a tower like King Trosser or any other tower a chance to finish them off in the battle.
Tarantula Loom has become one of my go to cards in my deck, especially when I know the wave has fast Fiends. It feels like he's acting like a spider that catches them in a web and keeps them locked up until the rest of them are finished off in the battle and every level has its ideas.
