Eggceleration... Buff Everyone The Same But The Result Will Be Different

Hello Summoners

In the past I use my weekend for writing splinterlands posts. Nowadays I am still doing the same, the different is only the timing of publishing. Most of the posts I write have been published on different days...

I know what you might think, yes it means I write multiple drafts of Splinterlands posts on weekends. Some weekends I did not write any, but on some other weekends I could make six to seven drafts.

While I am writing drafts now, I recall there is a topic that I have missed out. It is the EGG!

Eggceleration, a modifier that keeps buffing up all units at the end of each rounds. It is not just a buff, it is a +1 to all stats. it is the same as a bloodlust unit makes a kill.

Several weeks ago people made posts about this ruleset, as it was the beginning of special event that we would have it ended soon. That's the topic I have missed but let me try to catch up today. lets check our battle then!

The Battle

This is the battle I have chosen for today topic. In general, I should have lost this battle, regarding I have another one similar with this with different modifiers.

But let's talk one by one here. I choose this battle because it has Eggceleration modifier, and others too. This battle would not allow us to use Melee units, and there is a close rage modifier too. So either Range and Magic could go, and both are good.

Now there are two other reason why I pick this battle. But let see the ambush phase first...

Now lets talk about the similarities here.

  1. Both of us relying on magic units only. I have a range unit there, they have a range unit and a non attacking one. However both of us only use them for fillers, not as our core units nor part of main meta.
  2. We use some meat wall here. The different is that I put all my meat wall in front, Ujurak Elder and Mar Toren Trader. They seperate the meatwall, the Botanist in front and Brigand behind. They want to protect their Arachne Weaver.
  3. Let see the fire power of each side. They have 16 magic damage in total, I would not count the range damage. For my side, we have 15 magic damage in total, and one of my meat wall soon will die, so effectively 13 magic damage. They have stronger fire power.

So Let see what happened next, by fast forwarding 2 rounds

When round 2 starts, we are still equal 4 vs 4. Both of our sides are not looking good. They have 13 magic damage as their main attack, and I have 13 magic damage here. Their attack power has decreased here.

Let see the next 2 rounds

On Round 4 is the last. They all get wiped out at this point. But before we talk about it, let see the stats. I have 16 magic damage, it gets higher again, my fire power. They are losing, but look at their stats too. Arachne Weaver with 5 magic damage, that is scary.

As I have said before, if this is not having an Eggceleration modifier, I would have lost badly, however this ruleset plays differently. As rounds progresses, all unit gets a buff up. Although all units get the same buff, the effect are different.

Some unit can grow from strong to super strong, however some units might stay at super strong level. For example, Barashkukor.

At that point, their Barashkukor with 7 magic damage, could kill any of my units with one attack. However, the round before, he has 6 magic damage and at that point he is already able to kill any units in one go. So having 6 magic damage, or 7 magic damage, or maybe 22 magic damage do not make any different here.

Literally Barashkukor attack power hit the ceiling after round 2, and he doesn't get more stronger anymore while others keep growing well. Later my weaker squad get on the same level, so... the same buff would give different result here.

Eggceleration sometime ends like this. You play with decent units, you will lose. You need to go with powerful units, but they can hit ceiling and their growth will be meaningless...

That's the tricky part you need to figure out how to solve it. I could only say thank you for visiting my post here, and feel free to leave any comment and feedback. See you in Splinterlands Battlefield!

Eggceleration and Blood Moon modifiers are rare to come by.So far this season,I have featured in three eggceleration battles, two in modern ranked and one in frontier ranked.

To your battle, the turning point to me was when abyssal elemental was killed and resurrected back through its resurgence ability and anasth soothsayer tank heal also proved vital. At the end the surviving monsters stats were insane 🤗. Kudos.

anash soothsayer is the most important units from rebellion set. It is mandatory to have it in your line up, not for being the strongest, but for being the one that maintain your meta keeps running
