EoS Report for the First Half of March: Purchasing Common/Rare Card Draws and Upgrading Cards [Eng/Esp]
Happy Sunday, Splinterlands community and Hivers! I wanted to share my end-of-season summary in Modern format with you all. I'm particularly pleased with my performance this season because I was finally able to play this format seriously, using reward cards and Foundation cards. My goal was to try and reach the same number of glints as when I played in Wild with rented cards, and even though my common and rare reward cards are only at levels 2 and 3, I managed to get pretty far! I placed in the top 100 on the leaderboard and earned a bonus glints, so I far exceeded that goal.

No quería dejar de compartir con ustedes mi resumen de final de temporada en el formato moderno, estoy particularmente satisfecho con mi desempeño esta temporada porque finalmente pude jugar dedicadamente en este formato, con las cartas de recompensa y las cartas Foundation, mi meta era intentar alcanzar la misma cantidad de glints que cuando jugaba en wild con cartas alquiladas y aunque apenas tengo mis cartas de recompensa comunes y raras en nivel 2 y 3, pude llegar bastante lejos! Me ubiqué dentro de los mejores 100 en la tabla de posiciones y gane un bono extra de glints, así que logré con muchos creces esa meta.

We reached Silver League I, almost reaching Gold League III. If you're a new player, you might be surprised to learn that I got this far playing with Foundations Archons that I was able to max out. It's not that I have the rare Archons from Arcana Conclave; I use them in low-mana battles. But what I want to emphasize is that if you're a new player, take the time to max out your Foundations cards by playing Frontier mode. Admittedly, the only reward in Frontier is those cards, without glints or Special Powers, but look how far they've allowed me to get. It's completely worth going through this game mode, upgrading your cards, and then jumping into Modern to get your first rewards in glints/Sps.
Alcanzamos la liga de plata I, casi acariciando la liga de oro III, si eres un jugador nuevo te sorprenderá saber que llegué hasta aquí jugando con arcontes Foundations que pude llevar al máximo nivel, no es que tenga los arcontes raros de Conclave Arcana, los uso en batallas de bajo mana, pero en general lo que quiero destacar, es que si eres un jugador nuevo, te tomes el tiempo de llevar al máximo nivel las cartas Foundations jugando el modo Frontier. Ciertamente la única recompensa en Frontier son esas cartas, sin glints ni Sps pero fíjate hasta donde me han permitido llegar, vale completamente la pena pasar por este modo de juego, upgradear las cartas y una vez hecho, saltar al formato Moderno y obtener tus primeras recompensas en glints/sps.
I want to start by upgrading two cards I've been meaning to upgrade. They're Rebellion reward cards, and these cards are no longer available in the Glints shop. I have a bad taste in my mouth with this card set because of how poorly balanced it was and how unfair many of its archons were, so I'm getting used to using these cards sparingly. The first one is Thanalorian Blade. I've had copies of this card for over seven months, but I'd completely forgotten that I needed to fuse them. This gives you an idea of how forgettable this card set has been.
Quiero comenzar primero por upgradear 2 cartas que tenía pendiente, son cartas de recompensa Rebellion, estas cartas ya no se pueden obtener en la tienda de Glints, tengo un mal sabor de boca con esta edición de cartas por lo mal balanceadas que estuvieron y lo injusto de muchos de sus arcontes, así que me estoy acostumbrando a usar poco estas cartas. La primera de ella es Thanalorian Blade hace más de 7 meses que tenía las copias de esta carta pero había olvidado completamente que tenía que fusionarlas, esto te da una idea de lo olvidable que ha sido esta edición de cartas.
Halfling Refugee is one of the few Rebellion cards I've had a particular fondness for. The second is Commander Slade, but I was quite frustrated with this card because when I bought epic reward cards, I got them in abundance, but this card was so rare that when the card release ended, I ended up with 19 copies of it, meaning I was one copy short of level 3, which is when it can heal itself. I was stuck like that for months and had already resigned myself to spending $2 on a copy of this card in the market to complete level 3, but thanks to my friend @cpol, who had a spare copy and very kindly only asked me for the amount needed to unlock it, I was finally able to get this wonderful 1-mana card at level 3. Below, I've included my last battle of this season, which ended with me using this awesome card.
Halfling Refugee es una de esas pocas cartas Rebellion a las que les he tenido un aprecio particular, la segunda es Commander Slade, pero con esta carta estaba bastante frustrado porque cuando compraba cartas rewards épicas me salieron todas en abundantes cantidades, pero esta carta me salía muy poco al punto que cuando terminó la emisión de cartas terminé con 19 Bcx de esta carta, es decir a 1 copia del nivel 3 que es cuando puede sanarse. Estuve así meses y ya asumía que terminaría gastando 2$ en una copia de esta carta en el mercado para completar el nivel 3 pero gracias a mi amigo @cpol que le sobraba una copia y muy amablemente solo me pidió la cantidad necesaria para desbloquearla y así pude tener finalmente esta maravillosa carta de 1 de mana en nivel 3. Revealing Common Cards/Revelando cartas comunes
This was the season where I took things seriously, and boy, did I need to. My common and rare reward cards are only at levels 3 and 4 after all this time, so the bulk of my Glints will go towards 300 common reward cards. I won't bore you with the reveal of all these cards, but I will show you the only card I got in gold. In this case, I didn't use potions since I'm interested in leveling up these cards quickly in their regular forms. What we will see next is which of these cards we managed to upgrade.
Esta fue la temporada donde me tomé las cosas en serio y vaya que necesitaba hacerlo, mis cartas rewards comunes y raras apenas están en nivel 3 y 4 en todo este tiempo, por lo que el grueso de mis Glints se irán en 300 cartas de recompensa comunes, no te aburriré con la revelación de todas estas cartas pero si te mostraré la única carta que conseguí dorada, en este caso no utilicé pociones ya que me interesa subir rápido estas cartas en sus formas regulares. Lo que si vamos a ver a continuación es cuales de estas cartas logramos upgradear.
Upgrading Fire Cards/Upgrading Cartas de fuego
Cullborn Revenant wasn't a magic card that initially appealed to me, but with the arrival of the powerful magic card Escalation, Ballista Deadshot has become a very effective strategy for using magic lineups in this class. This is our first common reward card that we've upgraded to level 5 for the fire class, meaning it's already at the maximum level for the silver league.
Cullborn Revenant no es una carta de magia que me atrajera mucho, pero con la llegada de la poderosa carta mágica Escalation, Ballista Deadshot ya usar alineaciones mágicas en esta clase se convierte en una estrategia bastante efectiva. Esta es nuestra primera carta común reward que llevamos a nivel 5 para la clase de fuego, es decir ya está al máximo de la liga de plata.
Upgrading Water Cards/ Upgrading cartas de agua
Although I focus on water units when it comes to the water class, the common reward cards for this element are primarily melee. Of the two, my favorite is Surgeblade because it can attack the front line from any position, while Coralforged is a tank with the flank ability, but its stats make it too weak to place in the front line. There are better tanks like Commander Slade or Ulundin Overseer that perform much better.
Aunque cuando se trata de la clase de agua me enfoco en unidades de agua, las cartas comunes rewads para este elemento son principalmente melé, de las 2 mi favorita es Surgeblade porque puede atacar la vanguardia desde cualquier posición, mientras que Coralforged es un tanque con la habilidad flank pero sus estadísticas la hacen muy débil para ubicarlo en la primera posición, hay mejores tanques como Commander Slade o Ulundin Overseer que rinden mucho mejor.

Upgrading Life Cards/Upgrading cartas de vida
To be honest, I haven't used the Life class much in the Modern format, so I haven't fully explored the potential of Palimpsest Prophet and Phlegmor. I usually use this class in combination with the Dragon class, but now that I have these two cards at level 5, I'll start thinking about possible lineups with this class. Based on their stats, these melee cards are primarily for use in low-mana battles.
Siendo honestos, la clase vida casi no la he utilizado en el formato moderno, por eso Palimpsest Prophet & Phlegmor son cartas de las que no he explorado todo su potencial. Por lo general cuando uso esta clase es combinada con la clase dragón, pero ahora que estas 2 cartas las tengo en nivel 5 pensaré en las posibles alineaciones con esta clase. Por sus estadísticas, estas cartas melé son para usarse principalmente en batallas de bajo mana.

Upgrading Grim Bonewhip
The Death class has become my second favorite Splinter. It's very effective against magic units and in low-mana battles. Grim Bonewhip was a card I wanted to upgrade to level 5 by buying the copies I was missing. Its ability to increase the movement speed of the entire team by 1 is key when you need to seize the initiative in combat, and its ability to reduce enemy defenses by 2 is another key element. In short, it's the ideal card to use in the second slot with the Death or Fire class if you're using the Archon with which it shares its lineage.
La clase muerte se ha convertido en mi segundo splinter favorito, es muy efectivo para enfrentar unidades mágicas y para batallas de bajo mana. Grim Bonewhip era una carta que quería llevar a nivel 5 comprando las copias que me faltaban y es que esa habilidad de aumentar en 1 la velocidad de todo el equipo es clave al momento de tener la iniciativa del combate y como segundo elemento clave esta su capacidad de reducir las defensas enemigas en -2. En resumen es la carta ideal para usar en la segunda posición con la clase muerte o fuego si utilizas el arconte con el que comparte linaje.
Upgrading Neutral Cards/Upgrading cartas neutras
Here we have two more cards at the top of the Silver League. Oshannus Unmade is a very good ranged card that has Dispel and now the ability to ground flying units. The only downside I see is its high mana cost; it would be perfect if it cost 4 mana. Ironwing Juggernaut has greater value for my strategies; with 3 mana, this card can attack from any position, and although it has Weary, this card has very good stats. I usually place it in the last position to cover the rear, and now that it acquires the True Strike ability, its attacks do not miss.
Aquí tenemos 2 cartas más al tope de la liga de plata, Oshannus Unmade es una muy buena carta rango que tiene dispel y ahora la capacidad de bajar a tierra las unidades aéreas, el único pero que le veo es su alto coste de mana, sería perfecta si costara 4 de mana. Ironwing Juggernaut si tiene un mayor valor para mis estrategias, con 3 de mana esta carta puede atacar desde cualquier posición y aunque tiene weary, esta carta tiene muy buenas estadísticas, suelo ubicarlo en la última posición para cubrir la retaguardia y ahora que adquiere la habilidad true strike, sus ataques no fallan.

Revealing rare reward cards/Revelando cartas raras de recompensa
We had a few thousand glints left over, and we decided to invest them in a couple of rare cards. Although I have them all, I only have a couple at level 2, so we'll see if we can upgrade at least one of them. For now, for this next season, I think I'll go back to investing my glints in common cards and make sure they're all at level 5 or higher.
Nos sobraron unos miles de glints y decidimos invertirlos en un par de cartas raras que aunque las tengo todas apenas tengo un par en nivel 2, así que vamos a ver si podemos upgradear al menos 1 de ellas. Por ahora, para esta siguiente temporada creo que volveré a invertir mis glints en cartas comunes y asegurar que todas estén en nivel 5 o superior.
Although the only card I was able to upgrade was a water-class card, I'm happy because it's a card with magic attack, and even better, its damage increased to 2. This card becomes really interesting at level 3 when it acquires the Painforge ability; simply place a card with the Reckless ability to activate its ability and boost its damage, for example, with Runic Skychonk.
Aunque la única carta que pude upgradear fue de la clase agua, me alegra porque es una carta con ataque mágico y mejor aún el hecho de aumentar su daño a 2. Opening Gladius cases/Abriendo sobres Gladius
I spent my last 5000 Glints to buy 4000 merits and thus purchase 2 Gladius Cases. I was thinking of spending them on chests, but I always have terrible luck opening them, so I preferred to add 10 Gladiator cards to my deck of these special cards for Brawls. Unlike reward cards, which can be unlocked or have unlocked directly if they're gold, these cards are permanently linked to the account, but they're really useful in Guild Battles if you play on Wild or Survival difficulty.
Los últimos 5000 Glints los gaste en comprar 4000 méritos y así comprar 2 Gladius cases, pensaba gastarlos en cofres, pero siempre me va muy mal abriéndolos, así que preferí sumar 10 cartas gladiadoras a mi mazo de estas cartas especiales para brawls. A diferencia de las cartas de recompensa que pueden desbloquearse o tenerlas directamente desbloqueada si es dorada, estas cartas están permanentemente asociadas a la cuenta, pero son realmente útiles en las batallas de gremios, si juegas en Wild o Survival.
It wasn't a spectacular drop, but these are precisely the packs I'm hoping to find, full of common and rare gladiators, because I'm going to need dozens of copies of these cards to finally take them to the gold league level, which is the skirmish I've specialized in during Brawls and in general, because it's in that league where I've specialized in the Wild format and the old modern configuration (Chaos Legion/Rebellion).
No fue un drop espectacular, pero justamente son packs así los que estoy esperando encontrar, con full gladiadoras comunes y raras porque voy a necesitar decenas de copias de estas cartas para finalmente llevarlas al nivel de la liga de oro que es la refriega en la que me he especializado en las Brawls y en general porque es en esa liga donde me he especializado en el formato Wild y la antigua configuración de moderno (Chaos Legion/Rebellion).
