The Color of Passion – Seventh Day Initiative 21 – Red Label / El color de la pasión – Iniciativa 21 del séptimo día – Etiqueta roja (eng-esp)

Hello, to all my friends at Holos & Lotus.

@emiliorios has taken a fancy to this, and in this case, I'm referring to the red label.
I'm going to try to do as you ask, allowing thoughts to flow freely and without restrictions. And I say try, because my thoughts have been wandering for a while now, and I don't want to turn this post into Ulysses' monologue.
Let's see how I can bring some order to this chaos.
The first thing that came to mind was the word red. I read the entire post, and I always had that image of the red shoe in mind, which reminded me of the movie The Devil Wears Prada, starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.

As I read, I kept saying to myself this post is for me, since my favorite color is red. Red in any color. I even like it for dressing up. I remember when I was a child and a teenager, I was very thin, and when I wore red, people would joke about how if I saw a bull... I'd have to run.

By the way, that's a myth. Bulls don't differentiate the color red from the rest. They're only guided by the movement of the flag. Pavlov conditioning since childhood, as far as I know.
Another thing I like about this color is that it's one of the primary colors from which other colors I love are derived, especially for clothing or jewelry, like mauve or purple. Other colors I also love: orange and pink.
I also think of multiple novels and short stories that have red as a title. I visualize the Japanese flag with its red sun in the center and the incredible legend of the Red Thread of Fate.

This legend is about destiny. Specifically, about predestined love. The red thread of destiny is tied to our little finger and connects us to the love of our lives. The color red is associated with love, with passion, with the fire that burns within us.
It's no coincidence that the opera Carmen is set in this color of passion.
I remember February 14th every year, and thousands of red roses, red hearts, red kisses, ribbons, handkerchiefs, etc. come to mind. All red.

Well, red and white. I think that's the combination I like the most.
In fact, the primary school uniform in my country is red and white. Of course, it's taken from my flag. In the Cuban flag, the color red represents the blood shed by the Cubans who gave their lives for freedom.
As I was saying: I love the color red for all of these reasons. But above all, because they represent love, passion. They represent freedom.

@emiliorios me ha dado por la vena del gusto y en este caso, me refiero a la etiqueta roja.
Voy a tratar de hacer como nos pide permitir que el pensamiento circule libre y sin restricciones. Y digo, tratar, porque hace rato que mi pensamiento anda volando y no quiero convertir este post en el monólogo de Ulises.
Vamos a ver cómo le doy algo de orden a este caos.
Lo primero que me vino a la mente fue la palabra rojo. Leí el post entero y siempre tuve en mi mente esa imagen del zapato rojo, que me recordó a la película El diablo viste de Prada, con Meryl Streep y Anne Hattawey.

Etiqueta roja

Mientras leía me repetía en mi cabeza este post es para mí, ya que mi color preferido, es el rojo. Rojo en cualquiera de su gama. Me gusta hasta para vestir. Recuerdo que cuando niña y adolescente era muy delgada y cuando me vestía de rojo me hacían bromas sobre que, si me veía un toro… iba a tener que correr.

Por cierto, eso es un mito. Los toros no diferencian el color rojo del resto. Ellos solo se guían por el movimiento de la bandera. Condicionamiento Pavlov desde pequeño, según tengo entendido.
Otra cosa que me gusta de este color, es que es uno de los primarios del que se derivan otros colores que me encantan, sobre todo para vestir o bisutería, como el malva o púrpura. También otros colores que me encantan: el Naranja y el rosa.
A la mente me viene también múltiples nombres de novelas y cuentos que traen el rojo como título. Visualizo la bandera de Japón con su sol rojo en el centro y la increíble leyenda del Hilo rojo del destino.

Esta leyenda trata sobre el destino. Específicamente sobre el amor predestinado. El hilo rojo del destino está atado a nuestro dedo meñique y nos conecta con el amor de nuestra vida. Es que el color rojo está asociado con el amor, con la pasión, con el fuego que quema dentro de nosotros.
No por gusto la ópera Carmen está ambientada en este color de la pasión.
Recuerdo a los 14 de febrero de cada año y me vienen a la mente millares de rosas rojas, corazones rojos, besos rojos, lazos, pañuelos, etc. Todo rojo.

Bueno, rojo y blanco. Creo que esa es la combinación que más me gusta.
De hecho, el uniforme escolar de la enseñanza primaria en mi país, es de rojo y blanco. Claro, es tomado de mi bandera. En la bandera cubana, el color rojo representa a la sangre derramada por los cubanos que dieron su vida por la libertad.
Tal y como les decía: el color rojo me encanta por todo esto. Pero, sobre todo, porque representa al amor, a la pasión. Representan a la libertad.
