Greetings dear friends of Hive DIY, it's a pleasure to greet you today, Saturday. It's the weekend and many of us take the opportunity to rest, others to work, and still others to do pending tasks. I hope this week has been blessed for each of you. On this occasion, I come with a super cute idea using pipe cleaners.

Estuve realizando dos ideas super bonitas para obsequiar en el mes del amor y la amistad, una flor nunca pasará de moda y si es elaborada en limpiapipas mucho mejor ya que perdurará en el tiempo, hace tiempo realicé una rosa y tulipán con otra técnica, en la parte final del post les dejaré el link para que puedan verla.

I've been working on two super cute gift ideas for Valentine's Day. A flower will never go out of style, and if it's made from pipe cleaners, even better, since it will last a long time. I made a rose and a tulip a while ago using a different technique; I'll leave the link at the end of this post so you can see it.

Está vez me atreví a realizar otro tipo de Rosa y de Tulipán muy diferente a los primeros modelos que realicé, me parece que ambos son super fáciles de realizar además puedes colocarla dentro de cajas, papel, o con una tarjeta, por otra parte sería una buena opción para emprender en el mes del amor y la amistad. A continuación les muestro los materiales y el paso a paso.

This time I dared to make another type of Rose and Tulip very different from the first models I made. I think both are super easy to make, and you can put them inside boxes, paper, or with a The card, on the other hand, would be a good option to start a business during the month of love and friendship. Below I show you the materials and the step-by-step instructions.

Paso a paso / Step by step

Voy a comenzar con la rosa, primero seleccionas el color de tu preferencia yo utilicé color rojo, voy a utilizar cinco limpiapipas de 30 cm, cinco de 20 cm, cuatro de 15 cm y tres de 10 cm.

I'm going to start with the rose. First, you select your preferred color. I used red. I'm going to use five 30cm pipe cleaners, five 20cm ones, four 15cm ones, and three 10cm ones.

Cada una de estas piezas las voy a comenzar a enrollar, hasta formar un círculo, dejamos sobresaliente como 2 cm libres de limpiapipas. Luego voy a cortar un palillo del tamaño que desees y comenzamos a pegar con silicón en barra cada pétalo, comenzando desde los más pequeños, medianos y grandes.

I'm going to start rolling each of these pieces into a circle, leaving about 2 cm of pipe cleaner sticking out. Then I'm going to cut a toothpick to the desired length and start gluing each petal with hot glue, beginning with the smallest, then medium, and finally the largest.

Luego de unir cada pétalo voy a realizar dos hojas en color verde, para esto tomé un limpiapipas verde y realicé cinco dobles y pegamos en la parte inferior de la rosa, también realicé dos hojas largas uniendo dos limpiapipas en la mitad.

After joining each petal, I will make two green leaves. For this, I took a green pipe cleaner and made five folds and glued them to the bottom of the rose. I also made two long leaves by joining two pipe cleaners in the middle.

Con cinta floral voy a cubrir desde el inicio, bajamos y en la mitad colocamos las hojas, seguimos cubriendo hasta el final del palillo, para asegurar la cinta floral puedes aplicar una pequeña cantidad de silicón aunque puede que no sea necesario ya que está cinta floral se adhiere bien.

Using floral tape, I'm going to cover from the beginning, go down, and in the middle place the leaves. Continue covering until the end of the stick. To secure the floral tape, you can apply a small amount of silicone, although it may not be necessary since this floral tape adheres well.

Para el tulipán voy a seleccionar doce limpiapipas morado claro, luego los separemos en pareja, unimos ambos en la mitad, entre los dos limpiapipas del centro tomé una medida de 5 cm y doblamos, el limpiapipas de ambas extremos lo vamos a pasar a través del limpiapipas del centro.

For the tulip I'm going to select twelve light purple pipe cleaners, then separate them into pairs, join them both in the middle, between the two center pipe cleaners I took a measurement of 5 cm and folded, the pipe cleaners on both ends are going to pass through the center pipe cleaner.

Luego unimos las puntas, con los limpiapipas sobrantes voy a realizar un dobles que quede fino, y unimos al igual que la primera parte, después en la parte inferior con ayuda de la uña presionamos hacia dentro, y con ayuda de la yema pasamos dos veces y verás que queda ovalado.

Then we join the ends, with the leftover pipe cleaners I'm going to make a thin fold, and join them just like the first part, then at the bottom with the help of the fingernail we press inwards, and with the help of the fingertip we pass twice and you will see that it becomes oval.

Este mismo paso lo voy a realizar con los cinco pétalos restantes, luego de toner todos listos voy a tomar el palillo y comenzamos a pegar primero tres, y luego cubrimos con el restante de pétalos. Este tulipán tendría seis pétalos.

Por último también realizamos las hojas largas como realicé con la rosa y también cubrimos cinta floral. En la parte superior del tulipán colocamos sombra de color morado bien difuminada con una brocha.

I'll repeat this same step with the remaining five petals. Once they're all ready, I'll take the toothpick and start gluing three petals, then cover them with the remaining petals. This tulip will have six petals.

Finally, we'll also make the long leaves, just like I did with the rose, and cover them with floral tape. At the top of the tulip, we'll apply a well-blended purple eyeshadow with a brush.

Como mencioné puedes colocar tus flores en una tarjeta personalizada, puedes envolver en papel coreano, caja de acetato, y listo me contenta mucho haberte mostrado estás dos ideas de flores que puedes intentar realizar en casa.

As I mentioned, you can place your flowers on a personalized card, wrap them in Korean paper, an acetate box, and that's it! I'm very happy to have shown you these two flower ideas that you can try to make at home.
