Fake Influencers .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 246
Before the title brings some confusion, let me clarify it... By "fake influencers," I didn't mean those people who pretend to be one by pumping fake views on their content, or shilling only the tokens which they own and want to dump... I think of those who impersonate others, and try to scam people... Maybe you witnessed something similar to this that I will share, but it was one of my first encounters... After seeing that, the future looks very uncertain...

Created on Canva.com, using my photo as a background
I remember the time when some of my teenage idol-actors died... As I was into computers from an early age, I knew that there would come a moment when we would have new movies featuring actors from the 50s, 60s, or even 100 years ago. Imagine Charlie Chaplin again on the big screen, or Audrey Hepburn, or some other famous actor! Well, I thought this tech would arrive sooner, but what's happening nowadays with AI? Something like that is closer than ever! But, first, we have to be scammed... lol...
I don't know, but it's so annoying to see new things that have been used maliciously... If something can be used wrong, it WILL BE used by some people... What I mention about actors is something that will probably need some additional resources, but we can already see some examples... And I will show you one, just to make you AWARE what kind of things ALREADY exist and can be made relatively cheap, with not even too much knowledge!

When I search for some crypto information, I do use YouTube, as some of my favorite content creators are there... One of them is KryptoCove, who shares information about the newest crypto airdrop "faming" information... He researches projects, coins, blockchains, and picks those who are worth the hustle... (not paid advertisement... lol)

While I was searching for a term on YouTube, one of the results was a YouTube video with his face on a thumbnail... As I recognized him, I clicked to check the video out... It wasn't on his channel, but recently, many YouTubers created a second (or third) channel to share a different type of content, for example... The video started, and he was talking about some airdrop, but something was a bit weird about it... I checked the comment section; it was "too positive" and too "bot-like"... After that, I checked the links in the description, which confirmed my assumptions... It was full of phishing links! The whole channel was fake!

It wasn't some high-tech production, but it could be done by an ordinary person... So, if you aren't an experienced video editor, you could create a similar video with yourself, and make it a genuine video... Which means, you COULD believe that this is a real channel, with a real person... Before YouTube bans this channel, I'm not sure I should share a video, but for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES, you can check one of them here... Remember... DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS FROM THAT VIDEO! Those are phishing websites!

Like I said, this is not some high-tech video, but it shows the POTENTIAL and possibilities of what can be done with an "amateur" knowledge of AI... Be aware of these things, and RE-CHECK everything 2-3 times before clicking any links!!!

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...
This week, we have mined 93 BEE tokens in total, 10 fewer than the week before...
This week, we didn't get new delegators, but we got new delegations from old members, as usual! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!
This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?
I'm one of the co-owners of the @Liotes project, and we are proud to say that we stick to our tokenomics from the very beginning of it... Running strong for many years, and our tokens perform exactly as predicted... They were designed to go up in value, but it can indeed be boring sometimes... The LEN tokens had it's ups and downs, but not that hard ones like some other Hive-Engine tokens... On the other side, the LEN token is one of the few that didn't lose value, or went to zero... Hopefully, it will continue like that, and we will do our best to bring value to it...
There will be distributed 68 LEN tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

68 LEN tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 12.842%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 15.412%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...
Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!
.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

All payments will be made after publishing this post...
If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section!
You can find more about this pool in the initial post here https://ecency.com/hive-119826/@ph1102/workerbee-p-h-ool-let-s-help-each-other.
Thank you for your time.

didn't know that Fish had so many websites 😂😜😎 sorry had to make the joke .
There is a reason why he is called @godfish 😃
He has millions of websites... 😂
Yes, the website tycoon, thats me :))
Thanks for your curation! Appreciate it! 🙏
I'm lucky! Why? I don't even watch any YT crypto channels 😜😂
Thanks for the update.
Hehehehe... I suppose YT is the most obvious example, but the AI revolution has just begun... And with it, the malicious use of it...
It's really bad to consider how sophisticated these scams can get. Thank you for highlighting this problem. It is a good reminder to always verify sources before clicking on ;)
It will be harder and harder to recognize the truth from the lie... It was hard before, but it will be even harder in the future... This is just the beginning...
That is scary that it is happening. The bad part is there are some that will blame the original person for any damage that may occur from clicking any of the links.
Exactly! To be honest, I was thinking exactly about that when I saw this... As I put my face out there, I wouldn't like to see my face scamming others... 😮
Every day that passes I have less confidence in everything I see, both in serious matters like these links on YouTube or other platforms as well as videos with cats doing impressive things, but it turns out to be AI in the end, you can't trust almost anything anymore bro!...
Numerous things on the Internet have been created with AI tools, and most of them, in recent years... So, all this is just the beginning... I had nice laughs watching cats with machine guns, babies running in the hospital, and other funny videos... However, things like this one, which I shared in the post, are serious and can ruin lives...
When these kinds of opportunities are available to the individual, what can billionaires and governments do?
Imagine Goebbels having these tools back in the WW2... But, I suppose we have our Goebbels nowadays who are doing similar propaganda with these new tools...
That should be reported! Thank you for the LEN!
It will be taken off soon, but these things will grow as mushrooms...
It sucks to see those things, but it's so common now. You have to be careful before using any links you find online as you can't trust everything.
Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/LEN tokens
It is common... And knowing about the existence of these things, we can be more cautious... not just existence, but also possibilities...
These days it's really hard to trust anything that's real. I saw companies started leveraging AI to use their ads and it looks increasingly genuine. So, we really have to be very careful these days to notice those differences.
Certain things look so real that it's impossible to notice what is true and what is an illusion... The scariest thing is that this is just a beginning, and they will become more and more sophisticated, and even more realistic!
I tried editing some pictures with Gemini and I was so surprised of the result. You can almost tell it's real. So yeah, it's all just the beginning.
And as you say this is just an amateur... What will happen when government will create a fake video of you doing something wrong? How will you proove to be innocent?
I remember the "good old days" of C19, when you had to prove that you were HEALTHY... And what you said could be a continuation of the craziness... Instead of being innocent until it's proven you are guilty, it will be the other way around... Everyone is guilty, and you have to prove your innocence...
Or you will be guilty as soon as you don't obey blindly to the government
half of youtube turning AI now. I think there will be some methods developed to know when something is real and there will be a premium for real content going forward.
Knowing big corps, they will find the way to monetize our frustration and these impersonators, too!
Oh wow, I'm thinking of all those who wouldn't know the difference and coming back for more from an impersonator! I've made it a rule of thumb to rarely click links on YouTube or any other social media, usually the risks outweighs the upside, unless I'm fairly certain that the creator is legit. Sometimes, legit creators, do have their accounts hacked, so you never know. I think YouTube should work on these bot comments, it's so annoying when you have to read them first before or during watching the video, like I tend to do myself.
It's getting crazy out there... I suppose bots and AI will pump up the numbers for Web2 socials, like views and comments, but if they don't step in, it will be full of junk and spam... So, I agree with you that YT has to weed out the spam and verify content creators in some way...
It looks like they will be in big trouble soon... including inexperienced users who can get scammed on the way...
