Do You Miss Good-Old Telephone Customer Support? .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 276

avatar

I don't! I definitely don't miss them... πŸ˜ƒ For some reason, I disliked telephone calls in general, and usually, my average telephone call would last under 1 minute... πŸ˜ƒ Even in my teenage days, I can't remember "enjoying" telephone calls with my girlfriend... The hot, sweaty ear, or trying to understand something when the line was bad... No, thank you... But, OK... Calls with friends were more or less okay, but the customer support calls...

Unfortunately, I had to have a few of them in the last 2-3 days... I stayed without the Internet for 48 hours, and in between, I was listening to the "sweet", recorded voice telling me how "no operators are available at the moment"... I mean, I do understand when they KNOW about the issue, and replying with the same answer can be annoying, but keeping clients in the dark is a lot worse...

After a dozen calls and unsuccessful attempts to get the customer support for the incident, I have decided to cheat... Instead of asking for tech support, I clicked the button to get the "sales department", and to my "surprise" (NOT!), they picked up the phone in less than a minute! I suppose the woman got annoyed when she found out that she would not sell any package and get some bonuses, but it is what it is... πŸ˜‚

Exactly that got me thinking about valuing your clients, opposed to getting new ones... Something similar is happening on HIVE too... We are so focused on trying to onboard those thousands and millions, that we forget about those who are here, who sometimes need a nice word, or a push, to continue with their HIVE journey... I know that there are more people out there who didn't hear about HIVE, but having satisfied customers/clients is a big push for reaching new people, and onboarding others... If those who are here are unhappy, why would some new ones be? Like with my Internet provider, I don't see a bright future for a business that is hiding when there are issues, but still trying to grab some new clients... It's a short-term way of thinking...

Clean up your house and garden before you invite people to the BBQ! All this reminds me of the corny saying: "Happy wife, happy life!" πŸ˜ƒ

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week... Last week, I was a bit late with this report, which means that this week, we had a few hours mining less... That's one of the reasons for fewer mined tokens...

This week, we have mined 110 BEE tokens in total, 42 tokens fewer than the week before!! Besides the shorter mining time, we were extremely lucky past Monday...

This week, we didn't get new delegators... As usual, we got additional delegations from old members! Thanks for your continuous support, guys and girls! I really appreciate it!

This pool doesn't charge fees, and you can earn up to 20% more by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

This week, I will distribute LEN tokens to the delegators of the pool... I'm kind of repeating in these posts, and it's more and more noticeable as there are fewer and fewer quality tokens for distribution... @liotes project is still running, and tokens are still preserving value (and even going up in HIVE value)... Some people come, others go, but we are here to stay...

There will be distributed 75 LEN tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

image.png

75 LEN tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 7.153%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 8.619%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price... Currently, the BUY side of the WORKERBEE tokens is very thin, and it's hard to calculate the middle price.

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

All payments will be made after publishing this post...

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comment section!

You can find more about this pool in the initial post here https://ecency.com/hive-119826/@ph1102/workerbee-p-h-ool-let-s-help-each-other.

Thank you for your time.

It's not just you, some of us really disliked phone calls, especially back in the day when dealing with sweaty ears and bad reception while having good time with family. While catching up with friends was tolerable, customer support calls were definitely the absolute worst for us...

Catching up with friends, IRL is the best deal... The long call over the phone was tiring...

I can't talk more then 30 seconds on call, but I have seen some people who talk so long with their girlfriends !LOLZ

Nobody would like to spend time while on hold, and a sales department should always give a quick reply, it is so hereat least :)

Sales department has juicy bonuses per sale, while "poor" customer support has nothing... lol... It's like in the restaurant, the waiter gets tips, and the chef works the most, getting nothing... πŸ˜ƒ

Hive could do better indeed , like updating instalation instructions for nodes , what does what node do exactly and make sure that you don't have to be a tech guy to completly understand what to do to make a node run . Maybe we would have less node issues on the platform . 😁

You are right about that! I wanted to run an API node to help out with that, but there are 0 tutorials or instructions for doing that... or the standard answer is "if you don't know how to do it, you are not for that!"... lol... How the F^#$ can we learn it if there are no instructions? πŸ˜‚

Anyways... Good luck with your new seed node!

Taught by previous situations, when I waited for an operator for half an hour, with the message: "The first available operator will contact you soon", a few days ago I ended the call as soon as I heard: "The first available operator will contact you in more than 7 minutes".

I also resorted to such "cheating" with selected numbers, but now, when it's not urgent, I write an email, and when it is, I tag the operator on Linkedin or Instagram. get in touch soon...

And that, in order to attract new users with various promotions and discounts, while they don't give any discounts to old ones, has led me to change operators every year.

I do the same when it's not urgent... But, nowadays, not having the Internet connection for almost 2 days is like having no water for the same time... Especially as many people work over the net... πŸ˜€

And that, in order to attract new users with various promotions and discounts, while they don't give any discounts to old ones, has led me to change operators every year.

I'm too lazy to do it, but it is the only and the best solution... Let them deal with additional work if they don't know how to appreciate and respect their clients..

I stayed without the Internet for 48 hours

Is that even possible? Here, it would cause a revolution. People would go completely crazy. Heads would roll. I can’t remember a time in the last 30 years when it lasted more than 2 or 3 hours....thanks for LENs.

The problem was that they told me it was a "bigger" issue, but I deduced it was very limited to maybe a dozen or so people... That's why they didn't resolve the issue faster...
Unfortunately, this is how it works in Spain... Everything will be solved... maΓ±ana... πŸ˜‚

I miss talking with a native English speaker when I have a problem. Just spent a week trying to rescue a package from Fedex purgatory and almost lost my mind with AI chat, codes via text, emails, and the occasional human with an accent my ageing hearing could not handle. My preference is live chat with a human. !BBH

Hahahaha... I had a similar experience with the customer support for a Spanish company, which was given by a guy from South America (cheaper labor)... And I was explaining about my LOCAL problem, which was a physical issue in the neighborhood, to a person on a different continent... And his job was to "buy additional time" for the local guys to come out and solve the problem... lol..

I don't think anyone likes dealing with customer support, and I have had the internet issues before. A few days of no internet really hurts.

Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/LEN tokens

Luckily, I had some backup Internet options, which I could use... Not for serious work, but to patch those 2 days... At least, I didn't have some huge task to do during that time...

Customer support for isp has always been and will always be a nightmare! And if you manage to take the line they give dumb solutions like reboot your modem, Jesus there's no signal!

But nice analogy πŸ˜„

hahahahaha... Oh, yes... reboot the computer message... πŸ˜ƒ. As I know most of the things around computers, when I finally got the support, I told them what they had to do... lol... Unfortunately, they ignored it as usual... waited an additional day, and probably did exactly that... πŸ˜‚
