LOH 290 || The Quiet Place I Always Run Back To

‎I honestly don’t really have an expensive or fancy place where I go to relax. But my favorite safe haven is just a quiet place where I can be alone, clear my head, and
‎listen to music without anyone disturbing me. Though this may sound boring to some people, but that little peace means everything to me.

‎Life can be so much stressful sometimes, most especially when your mind is filled with too many thoughts at once. There are days when I feel mentally tired even without doing much physical work. Social media alone can drain someone without them even realizing it. Everybody is chasing something, everybody is posting achievements, and sometimes it feels like the world is moving too fast. Whenever I start feeling that pressure, I usually disconnect from everything for a little while and stay in my own space.

‎And most times, I just put on my earpiece, play some calm music, and relax. Music has always been one thing that helps me calm down quickly. Some songs just speak perfectly to your mood . There are moments when I don’t even want to talk to anyone. All I just want is peace and silence only. That silent environment helps me think properly again.
‎
‎I use those moments to also reflect on my life. I think about the mistakes I have made, the things I’m grateful for, and the goals I still want to achieve. Sometimes I even laugh at myself over some certain situations. It’s like having a personal conversation with myself without distractions from the outside world.
‎
‎One thing I have learned recently is that rest is very important. Back then, I used to think resting was laziness, but now I know that constantly stressing yourself can affect your mental health so badly. Not every time work, pressure, or overthinking. Sometimes the mind just needs a break and a rest.
‎
‎I know some people relax by going to the beach, clubbing, traveling, or hanging out with friends. Those things are nice too. But for me, I enjoy simple moments of peace more than anything. Just give me a quiet environment, good music, and peace of mind, and I’m okay.
‎
‎And at the end of the day, everybody needs a safe place where they can escape from the noise of life, even if it’s just for a few hours. For me, that quiet personal space will always be my favorite place to relax.

Being able to disconnect from certain pressures for a while and enjoy music, as well as having a personal conversation with yourself, is important for creating your own space, as you say, without external distractions. Thank you for sharing your experiences,
