LOH Contest #291: My Unconditional Support | (🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸)

Saludos, amigas hermosas de #LadiesOfHive. Después de un largo periodo de tiempo, me tienen de nuevo por aquí para participar en su Concurso LOH #291 semanal que me encanta. Así que, ¿qué mejor manera de compartir con ustedes que respondiendo preguntas para conocernos mejor? Las preguntas elaboradas en esta ocasión fueron hechas por @priyanarc y dicen así:

2️⃣ ¿Alguna vez has gastado dinero en un pasatiempo pensando: "¡Sí, esto va a cambiar mi vida!"… ¿sólo para darte cuenta más tarde de que fue un error gracioso?

Greetings, beautiful friends of #LadiesOfHive! After a long time, I'm back again to participate in your weekly LOH Contest #291, which I love. So, what better way to connect with you than by answering questions to get to know each other better? This time, the questions were created by @priyanarc and are as follows:

1️⃣ Did anyone support you during your most difficult time? How did they help?

2️⃣ Have you ever spent money on a hobby thinking, "Yes, this is going to change my life!"… only to realize later that it was a funny mistake?

Las preguntas de esta semana son interesantes: una te hace reflexionar sobre las relaciones humanas y la otra simplemente te hace cuestionar un gasto para darte un gusto alguna vez en la vida. Como en toda ocasión, responderé las dos preguntas en el orden propuesto.

𝙴𝚗𝚐𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚑

This week's questions are interesting: one makes you reflect on human relationships, and the other simply makes you question spending money on a treat once in a while. As always, I'll answer both questions in the order presented.

Para la primera respuesta debo elegir a mi mamá. Ella es quien siempre me ha mostrado apoyo en las buenas y en las malas. Me ha ayudado con palabras de aliento, económicamente y emocionalmente. Siempre ha estado allí para mí; es una de las personas que más admiro por su fortaleza espiritual y por ser una persona luchadora en la vida que no se rinde ante ninguna circunstancia.

For my first answer, I have to choose my mom. She's the one who has always supported me through thick and thin. She's helped me with words of encouragement, financially, and emotionally. She's always been there for me; she's one of the people I admire most for her inner strength and for being a fighter who never gives up, no matter the circumstances.

Mi familia también me ha apoyado en todo momento. En los momentos más duros de la vida nos mantenemos unidos como un puñito y es allí donde logramos superar las adversidades. Contar con el apoyo familiar es un amor incondicional que no consigues en ningún otro lado.

My family has also supported me every step of the way. In life's toughest moments, we stick together like a tight-knit group, and that's how we manage to overcome adversity. Having family support is an unconditional love you can't find anywhere else.

Me atrevería a decir que en algún momento de mi vida conté con el apoyo de ciertas personas, amistades que en su momento formaban parte de mi vida de manera importante, pero hoy en día y con las vueltas que da la vida, ya no nos tratamos más, así que el mérito se lo entrego a mi mamá y a mi familia nada más.

I would venture to say that at some point in my life, I had the support of certain people, friends who at the time were an important part of my life, but nowadays, with the twists and turns of life, we no longer speak to each other, so I give the credit to my mom and my family alone.

En cuanto a la segunda pregunta, responderé que nunca he gastado dinero en un pasatiempo, pero sí he invertido en cosas que pensé que eran una buena inversión y resultaron ser una mala inversión. En este caso fue la computadora "nueva" que adquirí el año pasado.

Regarding the second question, I'll answer that I've never spent money on a hobby, but I have invested in things that I thought were good investments and turned out to be bad investments. In this case, it was the "new" computer I bought last year.

Mi idea era invertir en una PC de escritorio que me permitiera jugar diferentes videojuegos, en especial World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic y mi favorito del momento, League of Legends.

Pero lamentablemente hice una muy mala inversión y actualmente sólo puedo usar la computadora para trabajar y para jugar de vez en cuando a LOL.

I planned to invest in a desktop PC that would allow me to play various video games, especially World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and my current favorite, League of Legends.

But unfortunately, I made a very bad investment, and now I can only use the computer for work and the occasional League of Legends game.
