CineTV Contest: The Little Mermaid - A Classic Love Film.

Hello, my beautiful friends and members of the Cine community. I’m always eager for another contest in Cine community all the time and here is one which will make me talk about my favorite disney movie.
I really do not know my obsession with mermaids but most times, when it comes to Disney movies, my go to theme is usually beside the water.

For today, I’ll be talking about my favorite Disney movie, The Little Mermaid. This takes me back to my childhood days when I didn’t only watch the movie but also read the book with my mates at school.

Plot of the movie

The movie centers around a little mermaid who has always been fascinated about all the things her older sister tells her about the world. Once you are up to fifteen years of age, you’ll be chanced to visit the world once a year.

And when the little mermaid clocked fifteen, on going above the river to see the world, she saw a young prince who was having his birthday on a ship and saved his life when the ship was about to drown. Unfortunately, the prince never knew who saved his life.

Being enchanted by his handsomeness, she goes to meet the sea witch who makes a charm for her to become human but will lose her voice and will feel pain for the rest of her life all for her to marry the prince. Sadly, the prince marries a princess in the neighboring village and the little mermaid dies but became a spirit for the rest of her life.

What I loved or hated about the movie

I feel this movie is just so good that there’s nothing to hate about it.
I love the storyline. It’s just so perfect that you can never guess how the movie will end. Just like me, I was guessing that the little mermaid will succeed at getting married to the prince but I was wrong. It turned out to be a different ball game and that’s what makes the movie interesting.

The little mermaid literally killed herself due to the heartbreak. She couldn’t have died but instead of killing the prince, she took her own life. Is that love? And that makes me ask a question all the time if I can actually do that for the sake of love.
Well, if she hadn’t killed herself, the story will go back to beimg neutral just how it began but to make the movie more interesting, the little mermaid took her life instead to achieve an interesting movie.

Are there any remarkable scenes in the movie?

Yes, there is. It’s actually the scene that started the problem. Maybe if the little mermaid didn’t come out, she wouldn’t meet the prince who was celebrating his birthday in the ship or vice versa.

That scene depicts love at first sight and so many times, I’ve experienced such but not as deep as this and not to the point of having to go that far for someone whom I barely know.

How this movie influences me and the people around me

The phrase “love is a strong feeling” is portrayed here. It shows how many things and how far we can go all for the sake of love. Love can be that strong. And many times when we are in love, we won’t even be able to explain how exactly it makes us feel.

Sometimes, you will feel like there are butterflies in your belly and sometimes, you’ll be so devastated and heartbroken. Love comes with mixed feelings but it’s sad that it didn’t end well for the little mermaid.

If you ever feel Disney movies are not as interesting as the normal ones, give this a watch.
I just want you all to see this movie. If you’re in love or not, you just have to see this because it’s an amazing one and I will give it a 9.5/10 rating.
