I missed my normal Sunday theater trip due to not realizing Superman was out later that evening, so I went to the theater and watched the movie on Monday. I took the day off of training to watch the movie and had a good time. I had my breakfast and coffee, and got to recliner and enjoy my movie in a theater that wasn’t too crowded. Just like I like it!

I went into watching Superman not knowing what to expect. I didn’t look at any reviews bed or watching the film but still wanted to see the movie based on fomo.

Overall, Superman wasn’t a bad movie. It was slightly mid, but something I was still able to enjoy.

The feel of the new Superman movie was different than recent DC movies due to them going with a new director. This was a good move! I liked the Justice League movies even though each heroes movie all felt like the same story with a different costume. But Superman (2025) is way different. It’s not completely dark, it has a bit of humor throughout the movie, and a straight up action movie more so than an action-drama. It kinda feels a modernized live action version of the Superman cartoons I grew up watching in the 90s.

The new character Superman is cool. He’s a high moral character guy and he’s Superman without being overpowered. He kicks some ass but he has to rely on his team quite a bit throughout the movie.

The supporting team, The Justice Gang and Krypto, were nothing like what you’d expect from watching the movie trailers. Hawk girl was pretty badass. The Green Lantern was cool due to his powers but borderline douchebag. But I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Fantastic! He was totally different than what I expected based off the trailer and added a lot of entertainment value. Same thing with the dog Krypto. Not what you’d expect to see based off the trailer, but anytime he’s on the screen he’s entertaining af!

Lex Luthor just didn’t feel like that good of a character to me. I personally enjoyed Jesse Eisenberg‘s version of Lex Luthor a lot more than this one. Nicholas Hoult’s version of Lex was a greedy egomaniac fueled by jealousy as he should be, but he just didn’t feel like a genius to me. He just seemed like a jealous hater who studied Superman’s every move out of obsession. He was more of a weirdo

Even though Superman (2025) left some things to be desired, it wasn’t a bad movie. There wasn’t anything that blew me away but there was enough entertainment between the action, characters, and storyline to keep me interested in the movie. Overall, I’d rate Superman (2025):
