Rain, 3DP, Brunch, BIRTHDAY, Utd, Hay, PDC, Wax Skis, Season Passes, Dinner, Singing, Eclipse - Thursday
Woke to a pretty healthy load of rain in the gauge yesterday morning. It had dumped overnight and we had 2/3 of an inch from the 24 hours. It snowed up higher thankfully.
@stryeyz took the day off for her birthday so we both took the boys to school first thing in the morning. Once back I got the printer going with a couple of baskets for the kitchen sink to hold scrapers and sponges but still drain.
Mid day we headed up the road to Backroads for brunch.
As we headed back to the house the clouds and sky looked super cool after the rain had moved off earlier.
We got back to see Utd was tied and I was pretty sure they were ready to lose.
I needed hay for the sheep so we headed down to North 40 with a stop at the store for beer. I will be getting a round bale tomorrow so this is just to hold them over as they have been out of their last bale for a while.
We had a rare day at home together without the boys. Rare.
I was supremely surprised to see that Utd ended up winning 4-1. The only thing they have is the Europa and it seems they are at least trying with it.
In a bit of a surprise Littler lost to Price in the PDC.
Mid day I had purchased our season passes for 49 North for next season and we will be picking them up today when we go skiing. We now can go the rest of the season, through April 15.
With us going skiing for full days now I had to get the skis waxed and tuned. The boys were awful and in dire need of tuning. We had gone and picked the boys up from STEM and after getting home I put music on to work to and got to the waxing.
My vises work great but I have a couple pieces I need to print again as I didn't have them strong enough.
Had to fill a gouge on one ski but it is nice and smooth now.
It will be warmer snow so I had to put the right wax on. The boys are going to be on lightning sticks with the fresh wax and tune.
It's not exactly a clean process and I need to make myself an actual tuning station since I will have 4 to do at a time. The lighting is great in the kitchen BUT....
I was able to get the 3 sets done and am not worrying about mine. Since this will be all 3 of their first times on the full mountain I need to be on the slower side so I can show them all the various routes down.
For dinner we headed to Master's in Deer Park.
A wait to get a table and in the foyer our beef supplier has a beef vending machine! SO COOL!
It was great. On one tv was Bob Ross and the other was Drag racing. Both of which I grew up with. Watching Bob Ross after school on PBS and then going to the drags for years at Bakersfield, Fremont, Sacramento, Sears Point, etc.
Live music night and it was the same guy from before. @stryeyz told him it was her birthday to which he drug her up to sing. I encouraged it a bit for sure... R went up with her for the start.
Paradise City by Guns n Roses and she got some cheers when she hit the higher notes. It was awesome to watch her tick one of the items off her "list".
This is the silly poster that hangs in the men's bathroom. It really makes me laugh just how silly it is. No words, just poses.
It was later when we got out to soak and I managed to make it a bit longer than normal.
And with that we got to watch the eclipse begin. I noticed the shadow on the bottom of the moon and we watched it get more covered but didn't see the totality.
So we are going to go skiing today and get our season passes to which we will be on the mountain anytime we want. My parts arrive for the truck and I will work on it this weekend. It's going to be a really nice day with few clouds so the skiing should be awesome.

Enjoy the skiing my friend. Hope you have a sunny day! 😎
It was partly sunny and a rather short day. R BROKE his ski. Actually bent it and broke the ski in a yard sale crash on a groomed run... Just crazy day. We all had a good time and now have our season passes.
Wow I hope R was OK!🙄
What a freak happening breaking a ski😬
Leave it to my child.
🙄😇……….
