Confessions of a True Foodie
I can proudly say that I am a foodie. Food is not just a filling need for me but an emotional one. When I see tasty food, a smile automatically comes on my face. Food is the highlight of my day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a small evening snack—everything seems like a celebration. Everyone has a comfort zone, and this is my comfort zone. Good food, homemade food, be it aloo paratha or outside cheese pizza—I love everything. Street food is my jam. Golagappa, Pav Bhaji, Momos, Chole Bhature—name it. My mouth waters, but I never mind having restaurant food, which is delicious. But a chicken with noniya slices is a plate. I try all of that.
I go to every place, but first I explore the local food there, so before seeing the resort spot, I get more excited to see the street stalls or food joints there. I understand from the people. I bring my food memories with me, but the plate is a new memory for me. My connection with food is from my childhood. Food cooked by my mother is my first love. The aroma of dal-rice, hot rotis, and homemade pickles—everything touches my heart. Whenever I feel like making something special for me, I would be the first one to sit at the table and enjoy every journey as if it were an award-winning food show.
I also have a crush on cooking. When I cook and eat food myself, it tastes even better. Watching new recipes on YouTube and trying new things has become my hobby. Sometimes, while experimenting in the kitchen, the whole mess becomes a battlefield. But seeing the results makes everything worth it. When someone enjoys the food cooked by me, I get a different kind of peace. Friends and family know that I am a foodie. Whenever there is a restaurant plan, they want suggestions from me. Where to go, what to try. Which dress is the most hit? All these questions automatically come to me, and this role suits me perfectly. Talking about food excites me more than any other topic.
I believe that people connect with each other, whether they are meeting someone for the first time or an old friend. A tasty meal makes everything even more wonderful. The best conversation of life happens on the dinner table. This food with a cup of tea is not just a matter of taste but also a mood enhancer. When the mood is off, a chocolate pastry or spicy Maggi brings a smile. When in the mood for a solution, a biryani or a cake justifies itself without any reason. If I want to eat, eat when I am happy; if I am sad, eat food. Its ultimate solution is also the result of being a foodie. Weight—can my midnight cravings and sometimes indigestion, but all this is work. When in front of me is that tempering plate. I try to keep a balance. I choose a middle part between healthy and unhealthy food. I also eat salad but with fries.
I love exploring new restaurants. I don't try them by looking at the Google review posts or Instagram hearts. I have a lesson on my wicket plant, and whenever I get a hidden check, the food of even the smallest places is the best, and the feeling is different. Such moments give me excitement when they happen. Every season has its own food. Hot tea and samosas in winters, mango shake and kulfi in summers, and pakoras and tea in monsoons—every season gives me only the excuse of food. I enjoy each season. Along with my favorite, I believe that every moment related to food is special. Birthday cakes, Diwali sweets, Eid ka biryani, Holi's gujiya—everything is emotional. In every festival, more marble is made than food. Food culture system is not just related to one thing but also to the heart.
One thing I like is food photography. Whenever a plate is presented to me, I first eat with my eyes. Then taking a hearty photo with my phone. Capturing its angles, colors, and presentation has become my hobby. My gallery on Instagram is full of #foodies tags. Sometimes people even make fun of me. You just want food and nothing else. I tell them. Yes, brother, food is life. When food is so much love, then what is wrong with loving it? And I just want to say,?
And members, I just want to say that there is nothing wrong with having a fight. It is a choice. It is a feeling, and it is emotional when you feel the hard work and appreciate the fever. Then you are not just doing it. You are living life, so if you are also a fighter like me, then let's talk to each other and make a plate of chole bhature or biryani. Life is short, and the taste is very big, so let's enjoy every bite together.
