The Loneliness We Hide
Personally, I believe in being alone, living alone, surviving a lot that life is all about me alone. Still, the truth is I failed to understand that the moment I start to think this way, it attracts depression and lowers my self-esteem. Most times, the only thing I enjoy is Good music and watching movies, no one to talk to except friends, or commenting on people's posts.
At first, when I started to be alone, I enjoyed it and felt relieved and comfortable, but later I understood that loneliness is a secret shadow that we need to overcome because it can trigger a lot of negative thinking in us. One reason I try to keep friends around me is that I see a lot of advantages in it, not just the social communication, but also for my cognitive influence and my self-esteem.
Most people tend to feel lonely even in their busy schedules not because they wish to be but because they have nobody to talk to, one thing i lesrmt this past few days is that having someone to communicate our feelings with is really important to us, learning to communicate our feelings and share eachother thoughts onnwhat is wrong or right.
My first experience of this feeling of loneliness started when my ex-girlfriend left me. I felt alone, not because she left, but because there was no one to share my thoughts and feelings with again, and my heart really throbbed deeper for me. That good feeling is far more than we can ever imagine. Loneliness is not just about Boyfriend and girlfriend, it's deeper than that, it's about us deep inside, our thoughts and how we feel toward things around us.
Loneliness is not a defect, because it is something everyone in this world will encounter one way or the other, either through friends, family or relationships, that deeper feeling in us that we express through words for the satisfaction of our lives. Loneliness is far beyond what we can imagine, it's deeper than we can express in our thoughts.
There are some simple things I do to overcome loneliness that have really helped me and shaped my movement around, just like developing good self-confidence, talking to people, listening to good music, and spending more time with God. This has really helped me develop my self-confidence in so many ways and also reduce my loneliness.
Personally, I believe/loneliness is a feeling that starts from the mind, and we must learn to make our mind stronger to embrace the things around us that may make us feel lonely. Human were made to be able to adapt toany situation at anytime but when we let it get over our head then we lose the battle, the greatest battle is the battle of the mind, i have seen men that has cut on their body or broken arm but still acted like there was no pain even though it obvious its painful but becsuse their mind was ready to withstand the pain that was why they won that battle.
Loneliness is dangerous, we must learn to talk to someone, listen to good songs, exercise well and spend more time with parents and friends.
