I was pretty accurate on the match yesterday on everything where the market kind of agreed upon in the there would be few goals and that OHL wasn't as much as an underdog as the standings suggested. However, on the only pre-game bet I had I needed some luck to have it as a winner as Standard didn't nearly have the initiative in the first half as I expected. If anything, this confirms my bias toward smaller bets, avoiding big positions and I will continue doing this going forward. I'm now up over 0.8 units with pretty much all of the action still to happen over the weekend. Here are the Saturday Previews...

Cercle Brugge vs Kv Mechelen

The main trend for Cercle Brugge is that they aren't playing badly and keep deserving more each match but they just lose everything in the end while they are valued on the market as the favorites often in line with what they deserve. I have been keeping myself from betting them as the lines are just too high and it's not a smart move to back bad momentum. Mechelen kind of is on the opposite side of the spectrum in that they continue to do quite ok in the results even though their play isn't that good and they also have been too big of an underdog in their matches. This makes for -0.75 favorite odds on the team with the losing momentum against a team with a winning momentum which based on play isn't that wrong. The thing with Cercle is that they are still with their coach Cinel and each match kind of feel like it could be his last. I'm have not been backing Cercle at these odds and need them to take a win first before considering it. I consider betting Mechelen at these odds but it is with very little confidence as I still see them as a team who will go on a big losing streak at some point. So either I stay away or take a small position on Mechelen. Since the numbers show Mechelen right now as the best 1st half away team and Cercle as the 2nd worst 1Hhome team while Mechelen also has a positive away record I did take 0.08 unit each on Kv Mechelen +0.75 @ 1.980, Kv Mechelen 1H +0.25 @ 2.041; & Kv Mechelen Team Total Over 1 @ 1.990. Cercle rarely keeps a clean sheet, while Mechelen scores in nearly all of their matches. I do expect a scenario again where Cercle takes all the initiative and rushes forward as the better team in the 1st half having a hard time to score but creating corners in the process. I also backed this last week against Standard which turned out in an up-and-down 1st half with 4-4 in corners. Mechelen is an over corners team and in 6 out of 8 away matches they got 6+ against never going lower than 4. Cerle in their last 2 home matches created 8 & 9 corners. over 50% of cercle & Mechelen matches went to 11 or more corners which makes me lean toward the over. I also once again will go for 1H Cercle Corners. I took 42 USDC as a crypto bet on Cercle Brugge 1H -1.5 Corners @ 2.420 & 30 USDC on Over 11.5 Corners @ 2.920 both on Solcasino.io and I also aim to take something similar with my regular stakes in-game.

Zulte-Waregem vs La Louviere

The is a match between the 2 promoted teams who have don reasonably well with 22 and 18 points so far but with everyone close to eachother, they are only a small losing streak away from the playdowns. Zulte-Waregem started the league with a high finishing percentage running hot which has cooled down a lot lately. They are also last in xg created in their last 4 matches with an average of just 0.70xg (which includs the .2.21xg against Dender) La louviere isn't far off at just 0.94xg and they have been a 0-0 team this season with 5 times such a result which also was justified based on the match picure. They are capable of setting a defense and don't create much and the main question now is if this trend has changed after they had a match with 2.21-2.26xg last week or if this pattern is still on. The fact that they lost that match with 1-2 makes me belief they will be back going defensively. Zulte-Waregem in these kinds of situations have shown that they are willing to settle for the draw and not take much risk as in the match against Standard which ended in a 0-0 draw recently. So I continue to be willing to chase the La Louviere under and 0-0 play. I took 0.05 units on Correct Score 0-0 @ 10.295 along with 0.2 units on Under 2.25 @ 2.050, and 0.15 units 1st Half Under 1 @ 1.916.

Anderlecht vs Sint-Truiden

Anderlecht had a total off day last week with extreme poor defebnsing giving it away against Westerlo. At the same time, Sint-Truiden who have been the revelation this season pulled a stunt by winning against Club Brugge. So in a way it's both a bounce back revenge spot for Anderlecht and a Let-down spot for Stvv. The early +0.75 line of Stvv felt too generous but I failed to pull the trigger on it and by now it came down to +0.5. Even though I still potentially see value in it, I'm not going to take it after it went down already so much. The key question of if Anderlecht can set their defense straight again which has some missings (Kana & Augustinsson), and if Stvv can keep up the great momentum. In their last 4 away matches, Stvv created 2.08-2.31-1.45-3.40xg while Anderlecht at home kept their opponents at 0.91-0.81-1.11-0.77 generally showing good defense. 7 out of 8 last matches from Anderlecht went to 10 or more corners, & 8 out of 8 for stvv went to 10 or more. I don't expect a match where Anderlecht all of a sudden will go 100% caution in defense and Stvv should have confidence to go forward. The main bet that I'm eying is the over in corners but I'm waiting for the first minutes of the match to hopefully get a better line. I'm also leaning toward Stvv Team Total Over as they have shown capable while Anderlecht might not have solved the defensive issues of last week yet. For now, No Pre-Game Bets
