The Secret Lives of Early Sleepers
Early sleepers. Whether you'd like to admit it or not, we've all been early sleepers once in our lives. I remember growing up, I used to hate sleep. It's almost as though that was my way of rebelling against my parents.
They'd force siestas on us in the afternoon, and I'd lie on my bed, eyes wide open, no atom of sleep in sight. My mind would be occupied by random eight-year-old thoughts.

Then nighttime would roll around, and my eyelids would feel like they had a bag of stones tied to them. As early as 8:30 p.m., you'd be sure to find me hugging my pillow, my spirit deep in the dream lands, and my sleeping body slowly moving up and down with each breath.
Back then, there was nothing you could tell me that would convince me to stay up late. Mostly because I had tired my body out during the daytime, so sleeping came naturally and expeditiously. I could fall asleep doing anything when it was bedtime.

As a former early sleeper, I think I have a few tricks up my sleeve to lure an early sleeper into joining me on the dark side😈.
First of all, one thing you can't do is be logical with them. They are tired, and they don't have much time to reason with you when you try to explain how sleeping later would be so magical. So ditch trying to explain.
Start off by having a conversation about that one niche topic you know they'd never shut up about. All you have to do is act confused about something concerning it, and tell them to clarify.
And watch them present a lecture before you. Now you have to pay rapt attention to them, and don't forget to ask them questions upon questions. That will have them forgetting that they even have a bedtime.

Next up, snacks. Begin to introduce light snacks, something easy and interesting to chew on. Chips, popcorn, crackers, or cookies. Please don't give them heavy foods because they'll definitely feel sleepy afterwards, which will make them drowsy.
If you're feeling bold and confident, you could hint at going out to enjoy the nightlife. Talk about clubbing or going to a bar and ask them what they think about it.
After doing this, I think you'll have successfully gotten them to stay up, at least until midnight. The key is to make the moment enjoyable and unforgettable. And then let them eventually get their beauty sleep when they can go on no longer
