Crochet Rose Keychains - Llaveros de Rosas a Crochet

Hello, greetings to all my fellow craft lovers! After a long absence due to personal reasons (which I won't bore you with), today I'm bringing you a beautiful little project I'm working on as part of a future income idea related to Mother's Day, which is coming up soon this month. Here in Colombia (well, it's not like the Venezuelan custom, where if I remember correctly, it's celebrated on the second Sunday of the month), and here it's May 10th for everyone, so I was bored with nothing to do, watching videos on YouTube, and I found this beautiful crochet rose keychain pattern through this link for anyone who wants to look up the video. I'll now explain my step-by-step process for making this keychain that I absolutely love.

Hola, saludos a mi gente amante de las manualidades, después de mucho tiempo ausente por motivos personales con los cuales no los voy a aburrir, hoy les traigo un hermoso detalle que ando preparando como parte de una idea de futuros ingresos con motivos del día de las madres que se acerca pronto este mes próximo. Aquí en Colombia (bueno, no es como la costumbre de Venezuela, que si mal no recuerdo se celebra el segundo domingo del mes), y acá es el 10 de mayo para todos, entonces yo acá aburrida sin nada que hacer, viendo videos por ahí en YouTube, conseguí este hermoso modelo de rosa para llaveros a crochet a través de este enlace para quien guste buscar el video. Prosigo a explicarles mi paso a paso para la confección de este llavero que me ha encantado.

• Materials we will need:

- Materiales que vamos a necesitar:

- 1. Hilo de cualquier estilo, grosor, o color yo usé uno que conozco como crochet colombiano y es de 2 mm.

• 1. Aguja según el grosor del hilo para este yo usé una aguja de 2 mm.
• 1. Tijeras.
• 1. Pistola de silicon.
• 1. Silicones de barra.
• 1. Cinta métrica (opcional). Digo que opcional porque solo la use para mostrarles cuanto miden las cadenas al inicio de la flor para que tengan una idea del tamaño que tiene también al final ya lista la rosa.
• 1. Aros para llaveros yo en mi caso encontré estos de corazones en "DollarCity" me gustaron y bueno ahí se ven bien.

- 1. Yarn of any style, thickness, or color. I used one I know as Colombian crochet yarn, which is 2mm.

• 1. Crochet hook appropriate for the yarn thickness. I used a 2mm hook.
• 1. Scissors.
• 1. Hot glue gun.
• 1. Glue sticks.
• 1. Measuring tape (optional). I say optional because I only used it to show you the length of the chains at the beginning of the flower so you have an idea of ​​the final size of the rose.
• 1. Keyrings. I found these heart-shaped ones at Dollar City. I liked them, and they look good in the picture.

• 1. We start with a slipknot. I'll show you how to do it in these photos:

- 1. Empezamos con un nudo corredizo. El cual les muestro acá en estas fotos como se hace:

The first step in making a slipknot is to make a "P" shape with the thread as shown in the image. Then, with the longer strand of thread, we will pass it behind, crossing it to the front, as shown in the photo I am now showing you.

Lo primero para realizar un nudo corredizo es hacer una forma de "P" con el hilo tal cual se ve en la imagen luego con la hebra más larga de hilo vamos a pasar por detrás cruzando hacia adelante de esta manera que se ve en la foto que ahora les muestro.

Then we're just going to pull the arc that forms above with the thread and the small strand both at the same time, forming the slipknot like this

Luego solo vamos a jalar el arco que se forma arriba con el hilo y la hebra pequeña los dos a la vez formando el nudo corredizo así

It's called a slip knot because if you pull the long strand of thread, it forms the size we need; in this case, it adjusts to the size of the needle, and we're ready to begin.

Se le llama nudo corredizo porque si jalas la hebra larga de hilo él se forma al tamaño que lo vamos a necesitar; en este caso se ajusta al tamaño de la aguja y a comenzar.

2 . Next, make 52 chains. Here I show you how long my 52 chains measured, as shown in the photo. Their starting size was 18 cm.

2. Lo siguiente es hacer la cantidad de 52 cadenas acá les muestro cuanto midieron mis 52 cadenas tal cual marca la foto su tamaño de inicio fue de 18 cm.

3 . In the first round we will skip the first chain and in the second we will make a single crochet, and so on until we have 51 single crochets, that is, we will make one single crochet for each base chain until we have a result like in this photo:

3 . En primera vuelta vamos a saltar la primera cadena y en la segunda vamos a realizar un punto bajo y así tal cual hasta tener 51 puntos bajos o sea vamos a realizar un punto bajo por cada cadena de base hasta tener un resultado como en esta foto:

1. For the next round, we'll turn the work and chain 5 to begin the second round. These 5 chains form the beginning of a double crochet, followed by two chains for separation. Then, we'll make a double crochet in the same starting stitch of the second round.

In this photo, you can see the 5 chains and the double crochet I made to begin this second round.

After this, we'll skip two stitches of the base single crochet and make two double crochets separated by two chains. This will be the pattern for this second round: one double crochet, two chains, and another double crochet in the same base stitch.

4 . Para la siguiente vuelta daremos vuelta al tejido haremos 5 cadenas para iniciar la segunda vuelta las 5 cadenas hacen un punto alto inicial y dos cadenas de separación luego vamos a realizar un punto alto en el mismo punto de inicio de la segunda vuelta.

En esta foto se ven las 5 cadenas y el punto alto que he realizado para iniciar esta segunda vuelta.

Luego de esto vamos a saltar dos puntos de la base de puntos bajos y vamos a realizar dos puntos altos separados de dos cadenas y este va a ser el patrón para esta segunda vuelta un punto alto dos cadenas de separación y un punto alto en el mismo punto base.

When we reach the penultimate part of this round, we will only have two base stitches and the chain we skipped when starting the single crochet stitches of the first round. What we are going to do is make the two stitches separated from the two chains in the chain we left when starting the first round, and that's how we will finish this second round.

Al llegar a la penúltima parte de esta vuelta, nos van a quedar solo dos puntos de base y la cadena que nos hemos saltado al iniciar los puntos bajos de la primera vuelta. Y lo que vamos a hacer es realizar los dos puntos separados de las dos cadenas en la cadena que dejamos al iniciar la primera vuelta, y así terminaremos esta segunda vuelta.

1. Third round: for this third round the pattern is as follows we will start with 3 chains which are equivalent to a first double crochet.

5 . Tercera vuelta: para esta tercera vuelta el patrón es el siguiente iniciaremos con 3 cadenas q equivalen a un primer punto alto.

Next, in the separation chains of the previous round, we make a double crochet, separate with two chains, and in the same chains of the previous round we make two more double crochets like this...

Luego, hacemos en las cadenas de separación de la vuelta anterior un punto alto, separamos con dos cadenas, y en las mismas cadenas de la vuelta anterior realizamos dos puntos altos más así...

This would be the pattern to perform in this third round: two double crochets, two separation chains and two double crochets over the two separation chains of the previous round or number 2.

Este sería el patrón a realizar en esta tercera vuelta: dos puntos altos, dos cadenas de separación y dos puntos altos sobre las dos cadenas de separación de la vuelta anterior o número 2.

At the end of round 3, we will see that the fabric is taking on a circular shape, which is expected in order to be able to roll up the flower at the end.

Al terminar esta vuelta 3 veremos que el tejido va cogiendo forma circular, lo que se espera para poder enrollar la flor al final.

6 . For round number 4 we will go up with a chain.

6 . Para la vuelta numero 4 vamos a subir con una cadena.

We will take the loop, then we will make 3 elongated high stitches, or double stitches as many know them, on the chains of separation of round number 3.

Cogeremos la lazada, luego vamos a realizar sobre las cadenas de separación de la vuelta número 3 puntos altos alargados, o dobles como muchos los conocen sobre las cadenas.

We are going to make 8 elongated or double crochet stitches in the way I show you here in this image:

Vamos a realizar 8 puntos altos alargados o dobles de esta forma que les muestro acá en esta imagen:

Next, we'll make a single crochet in the middle of the fans formed in the previous round. The double crochets will go on the chains, and then between one fan and the next, we'll make single crochets like this…

Luego vamos a hacer un punto bajo en el medio de los abanicos que se forman en la vuelta anterior. Sobre las cadenas van los puntos altos dobles, y luego entre un abanico, y el que le sigue vamos a realizar los puntos bajos así…

Now I'm going to show you how to do the double crochet stitch with photos and written instructions. The first thing is to pick up the loop as if you were going to make a double crochet stitch.

Ahora les voy a mostrar como hacer el punto alto doble en fotos y escrito. Lo primero es coger la lazada como para hacer un punto alto.

We continue passing the needle through the base stitch

Seguimos pasando la aguja por el punto base

From the back of the fabric, we make a loop like this:

Then we pull it forward as shown in the photo, and we will have 3 loops on the needle.

Por la parte de atrás del tejido cogemos lazada así:

luego sacamos hacia adelante de esta manera que se ve en la foto y nos van a quedar 3 aros en la aguja.

We continue to pick up loops and pass them through the rings. For this stitch, which is made with three pull-ups, the needle will be passed through the first ring, and then we have 3 more rings like this:

Proseguimos a coger lazadas e ir pasando por los aros para este punto que es de tres sacadas se va a pasar la aguja por el primer aro y nos siguen quedan 3 aros así:

We take the loop again and pass through the next two hoops, and we end up with only 2 hoops left.

Cogemos lazada de nuevo y pasamos por los siguientes dos aros y nos terminan quedando 2 aros nada más.

Finally, for this double stitch, we will make a loop again with the needle and pass through the last two loops we have left to finish forming our elongated or double stitch.

Por último, para este punto doble, cogeremos lazada de nuevo con la aguja y pasaremos por los últimos dos aros que nos quedan para terminar de formar nuestro punto alargado o doble.

We will do this 8 times for each chain of separation of the previous round plus one single crochet in the middle of the 4 double crochets of round 3.

Haremos esto 8 veces por cada cadena de separación de la vuelta anterior más un punto bajo en medio de los 4 puntos altos de la vuelta 3.

We will follow this pattern until we reach the end of this round, which should look like this:

Seguiremos este patrón hasta llegar al final de esta vuelta, que se debe mirar así:

Finally, to finish this part of the flower, we will make single crochet stitches along the vertical edge at the end of the round until we reach the starting chains.

Por último, y para terminar esta parte de la flor, vamos a realizar puntos bajos por la orilla vertical al final de la vuelta hasta llegar a las cadenas de inicio.

On this edge that I show you in the image, the single crochet stitches are made, and we close in the starting chains with a slip stitch and we will finish the pattern for the crochet rose.

En esta orilla que les muestro en la imagen, se hacen los puntos bajos, y cerramos en las cadenas de inicio con un punto deslizado y daremos por terminado el patrón para la rosa de crochet.

For the leaves we will use a green wool color of our preference; I had this one, so this is the one I used.

Para las hojas usaremos un color de lana verde de nuestra preferencia yo tenía este, así que este es el que usé.

To make this cute leaf for our rose keychain I'm going to start with 13 chains which I'm going to use mathematically like this: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 6 treble crochets, 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet.

Para realizar esta linda hoja para nuestro llavero de rosa voy a comenzar con 13 cadenas que matemáticamente los voy a usar así: 1 punto bajo, 1 punto medio alto, 1 punto alto, 6 puntos altos dobles, 1 punto alto, 1 punto medio alto, 1 punto bajo.

Having these 13 chains, we will skip the first chain and in the second we begin the sequence I just explained: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 6 treble crochets, 1 double crochet, 1 half double crochet.

Ya teniendo estas 13 cadenas, vamos a saltarnos la primera cadena y en la segunda comenzamos la secuencia que les acabo de explicar de 1 punto bajo, 1 punto medio alto, 1 punto alto, 6 puntos altos dobles, 1 punto alto, 1 punto medio alto.

In the last chain, we'll make 3 single crochet stitches, which will help us turn to continue crocheting on the other side of the chains. One single crochet stitch is an increase; the next one becomes the first single crochet of the following row of chains on that side. We'll also continue the sequence we already made on the other side, which I'll abbreviate here: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 6 dc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. Finally, we slip stitch into the beginning chain and close the round like this:

En la última cadena vamos a hacer 3 puntos bajos que nos van a ayudar a dar la vuelta para seguir tejiendo del otro lado de las cadenas. Un punto bajo es de aumento, el siguiente viene siendo el primer punto bajo de la siguiente vuelta de las cadenas de ese lado. También vamos a seguir la secuencia que ya hicimos en el otro lado que acá lo voy a poner de nuevo abreviado que serían 1pb, 1pma, 1pa,6pad, 1pa, 1pma,1b y por último, deslizamos en la cadena de inicio y cerramos la vuelta así:

Next, we'll make a chain for the height of one stitch, and all the way around we'll work single crochet stitches in each stitch until we reach the halfway point or the increase stitch we made in the previous round. At the increase stitch, we'll also work three single crochet stitches, and we'll continue working one single crochet stitch in each stitch until we finish the round.

Por siguiente, haremos una cadena de altura y por toda la vuelta vamos a realizar puntos bajos por cada punto hasta llegar a la mitad o al punto de aumento que hicimos en la vuelta anterior. En el punto de aumento, de igual manera vamos a hacer tres puntos bajos, y seguiremos haciendo un punto bajo por cada punto hasta terminar la vuelta.

Finally, to finish this little leaf, we're going to slip stitches down the middle of what would be the starting chains. This will give it the appearance of the vein that leaves normally have in the middle; the leaves will end up looking like this:

We'll need two of these leaves for each keychain. In the photo, I was already making the second leaf to start attaching this rose keychain.

Por último, para terminar esta hojita vamos a deslizar puntos por el medio en lo que serían las cadenas de inicio. Esto le dará físicamente un aspecto como si fuera la vena que normalmente llevan en medio; las hojas se termina viendo así:

De estas hojas vamos a necesitar 2 por cada llavero. Acá en la foto ya estaba haciendo la segunda hoja para comenzar a pegar esta rosa de llavero.

Finally, having all my pieces ready, I went to assemble my rose:

Al fin, que ya teniendo listas mis piezas, me fui a armar mi rosa:

Next, heat up the hot glue gun and start attaching the flower:

First, I applied hot glue to the end of the strip; the wavy part acts as the petals, so I took the first petal and applied hot glue to it like this.

Lo siguiente, ya es calentar la pistola de silicón y comenzar a pegar la flor:

Primero, le puse silicón a la punta de la tira; la parte con ondas hacen de pétalos así que agarre el primer pétalo le fui echando silicón así.

We applied silicone up to about the third turn to make it seal better.

Le colocamos silicon hasta las 3 vuelta aproximadamente para que selle mejor.

Now we begin to roll our flower in a way that creates a uniform base.

Ahora comenzamos a enrollar nuestra flor de manera de para base y vaya quedando uniforme.

At this point we have the flower already attached, taking shape; look how pretty it looks.

Ya a este punto tenemos la flor que ya pegadita va buscando forma miren qué linda se ve.

We are now going to glue the leaves to the bottom of this rose like this.

A esta rosa ahora le vamos a pegar las hojas por la parte de abajo de esta forma.

1. We're going to apply silicone to the sheet of paper, halfway or a little more, like this.

Then we'll glue it to the bottom of the rose like this.

1 . Vamos a echarle silicon a la hoja hasta la mitad o poco más de la mitad así.

Después la pegaremos en la parte de abajo de la rosa de esta forma.

Since I couldn't find keychains with chains, I had to crochet a strip to hang it on the ring. I looked at the base and edges of the leaves and threaded my needle through them. I made a few chains of a certain length and joined them again where I started with a slip stitch. I cut the yarn, tied it off, hid the end, and there I had my strip to attach to the keyring.

Como no encontré llaveros con cadenas, me toco tejerles una tira para guindarlo en el aro. De esta manera busque en la base en las orillas de las hojas y traspase mi aguja. Hice unas cadenetas de cierto largo la uní de nuevo en donde inicie con un punto deslizado. Corté el hilo amarré escondí y así tenía mi tira para unirlo al aro de llavero.
