American Pie: Girls' Rules - Amazon Prime Video.
Hello friends, a few days ago I came across this movie on Prime Video, one that belongs to one of the funniest sagas of adult and comedy movies there is, or at least as far as I saw where I used to live it was very talked about and each time they released a new movie it gave people something to talk about.
Hola amigos, hace unos días se me cruzó esta película por Prime Video, una que pertenece a una de las más divertidas sagas de películas para adulto y comedia que hay, o por lo menos hasta donde vi por donde yo vivía antes fue muy comentada y cada vez más en las que sacaban una nueva película dio de que hablar.
“American Pie: Girls’ Rules” is a movie released in 2020 and is the latest in the saga so far, and it visualizes the girls' side in that universe, where for many years we saw the craziness of the boys and with all that sexualization, and now it was our turn in one starring women.
“American Pie: Girls’ Rules” es una película estrenada en 2020 y es la última de la saga hasta el momento, y visualiza el lado de las chicas en dicho universo, en donde por muchos años vimos las locuras de los chicos y con todo eso de la sexualización, y ahora nos tocó a nosotras en una protagonizada por mujeres.
This tells the story of a group of friends who are in their last year of high school and want to take the best memories of it, exploring various points of female sexuality. Each of them has an extremely different personality, which gives diversity to the plot, but not that diversity that many cry for today, it is really fun and comfortable for anyone who wants to see it.
Esta nos cuenta la historia de un grupo de amigas que están en su último año de secundaria y quieren llevarse los mejores recuerdos de ella, explorando diversos puntos de la sexualidad femenina. Cada una de ellas tiene una personalidad extremamente distinta, lo cual da diversidad a la trama, pero no de esa diversidad que muchos lloran hoy en día realmente es divertida y cómoda para cualquiera que quiera verla.
The character I consider the most iconic is Stephanie Stiffler, played by Lizze Broadway, known for her role as Little Cricket in Generation V. This is obviously a strong connection to the previous films, and it thrilled me, demonstrating that the family of the famous character who brought the other movies to life share the same intense and morbid personality that characterizes them.
El personaje que puedo considerar como la más emblemática es la de “Stephanie Stiffler”, esta es interpretada por Lizze Broadway, conocida por su personaje en Gen V como Little Cricker. Esta es obviamente una fuerte conexión con las pasadas películas y que me emocionó mucho, demostrando que en la familia del famoso personaje que le dio vida a las otras pelis, tienen la misma personalidad intensa y morbosa que los caracterizan.
I hadn't seen this one, and no one had ever recommended it to me, but when I discovered it, I couldn't wait to watch it. You should always give yourself the chance to see the other side of the coin, and I swear this one doesn't disappoint. Here, these women meet Grant, who is basically every woman's dream guy and the perfect male stereotype, and he only cares about one girl.
Esta no la había visto, ni nadie me la recomendó alguna vez, y aun así cuando la descubrí no aguanté las ganas de verla y más que uno debe darse la oportunidad de ver siempre el otro lado de la moneda y juro que esta no decepciona. Aquí, estas mujeres conocen a Grant, quien es básicamente el chico del sueño de todas y el estereotipo perfecto de un hombre, y a este solo le importa una chica.
I remember talking to a friend one day and asking him if he liked these movies, and he gave me a rather strange answer. He claimed he didn't like them because they were too heterosexual, which struck me as odd, because I personally liked Good Omens. These days, there are countless movies and TV shows that address diversity almost as if it were an obligation, or as if heterosexuality were becoming taboo in society.
Recuerdo un día hablando con un amigo, le pregunté si le gustaba estas películas, y me dio una respuesta un poco extraña. Este asegura que no le gusta estas películas porque resultan ser muy Heterosexual, lo cual me pareció rara como respuesta, porque a mí me gusta por lo menos Good Omens. Hoy en día existen un sin fin de películas y series que tocan los temas de diversidad casi como si fuesen una obligación, o como si la heterosexualidad se estuviese volviendo un tabú dentro de la sociedad.
Well, I really like all the American Pie movies. Beyond its extensive focus on promiscuity, this one has a slightly absurd but clever style of comedy that I really enjoy. I found this movie very funny; I really enjoyed it. I recommend it, although it does have noticeable limitations compared to the previous films. It does manage to maintain the essence of what American Pie was all about back in the day. I watched this one on Prime Video, but it might be different in your country or on your streaming platform.
Bueno, realmente me gusta mucho todas las películas de American Pie, realmente más allá de su extenso interés en la sexualidad libertina que tiene, esta maneja una comedia un poco absurda, pero inteligente que realmente disfruto mucho. Me fue muy divertida esta película, realmente disfruté mucho esta peli, se las recomiendo, aunque si tiene limitaciones notorias para lo que mostraron en las anteriores, esta si sabe como mantener aquello que fue American Pie en su tiempo. Esta yo la vi en Prime Video, pero quizás en tu país o plataforma sea distinto.
