Coming Up To My 2 Year Silver Stacking Anniversary

Hey all, hope you are all doing well.

It's coming up to my 2 year anniversary from when I started my silver stacking journey with my first purchase on the 15th March 2024.

I paid £100 for 4 coins from an ebay seller with a good rep. They turned out real so I'm fairly happy.
Being new to silver buying, it was a risky buy for me but I'm thankful that I took the plunge and went for it.
The folk in the SilverGoldStackers Discord have been an amazing help through this whole journey. The knowledge they have is unreal and will take me many years to even learn a small amount of their knowledge.

At the time spot price for 1oz of fine silver was £19.78 so I paid above spot which is normal when buying precious metals.
I wasn't entirely sure that it was the right thing to do so I took it very slowly growing my stack.

Looking back at it now, it was a terrible idea and I wish I had gone all in 😅

Todays spot for 1oz fine silver is £65.03 😱
If I sold these pieces today even at spot that would be a very tidy £260.12 total. In the UK it is very difficult to buy at spot so potentially these may sell around £75+.

£160.12 profit for buying something 2 years ago and putting in a lock up is a pretty nice return in my eyes.

I'm looking forward to where the Silver and Gold prices go in the next 3 months as this could be a huge profit maker for me if I was to sell.

I won't be selling of course unless it is a dire emergency, but for now this silver will hopefully be in my hands for another 10 years until I pass it onto my child.

What counts is that you did start stacking.
You're ahead of the curve over the 98% who don't have physical silver in their possession. You are conservatively cautions, good. It's better to be cautious having sufficient funds available to cover emergency needs than to prematurely buy too much only to sell them too soon for a loss.

It sure has been a wild ride. Swings of as much as $10USD is unheard of for silver but we're in a new norm. $84 to $89 seems to be the new consolidation range. I'm also holding Silver ETFs, more convenient and liquid-able form but there are a few layers of counter-party risk we have to be aware of. If I had to sell, it'd be this form first before getting into my physical.
This gives me something productive to do while I'm stuck sick at home.
