Lo que necesité para hacer la puerta que tanto quería (Esp- Eng)

Hola a todos, sean bienvenidos a mi blog, soy Yeli Marin y hoy quiero mostrarles lo que fue el proceso para la fabricación de la puerta que tanto quería en mi apartamento.

Ya por fin la instalé y me siento muy alegre por ello.
Lo primero fue definir el diseño que quería. Vi muchos por internet, hasta que por fin entendí que no se trataba de algo estético sino más bien funcional y decidí tener un modelo que, aunque era antiguo, era la solución a mis necesidades.

Casualmente, este modelo de puertas lo han tenido las dos suegras que he tenido, jajaja. Una de ellas, la primera, tiene esta puerta en Caracas, de color blanco y es muy segura y funcional; recuerdo de que cuando tocaban el tiembre uno podía abrir la ventana y estar seguro de que la persona no se iba a meter a la casa porque la puerta estaba cerrada.

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog, I'm Yeli Marin and today I want to show you the process of making the door that I wanted so much in my apartment.
I finally installed it and I feel very happy about it.
The first thing was to define the design I wanted. I saw many on the internet, until I finally understood that it was not something aesthetic but rather functional and I decided to have a model that, although it was old, was the solution to my needs.
Coincidentally, this model of doors has been owned by the two mothers-in-law I have had, hahaha. One of them, the first one, has this door in Caracas, white in color and it is very safe and functional; I remember that when they rang the doorbell you could open the window and be sure that the person was not going to get into the house because the door was closed.

Esta puerta tenía su pasador abajo y una cadenita que le ponía en la noche cuando ya todos ibamos a dormir. Con el paso de los años, mi suegra actual, jajaja, también tenía este modelo de puerta principal, también en color blanco y con el mismo sistema de la ventana.

Pero ella la deja abierta para que entre brisa e igual la puerta está cerrada y asegurada, también cuando están afuera se le saca el seguro y solo se abre con el ganchito de la cerradura metiendo la mano, la verdad es que me ha gustado mucho.

Así que teniendo en cuenta estas características que me parecían geniales, quise buscar comprar mi puerta así tal cual para la entrada nueva que estaba haciendo, ya que en mi entrada principal tengo una puerta de seguridad conocida como multiloock.

This door had a latch at the bottom and a little chain that I used to put on it at night when we all went to sleep. Over the years, my current mother-in-law, hahaha, also had this model of front door, also in white and with the same system as the window.
But she leaves it open to let the breeze in and the door is closed and secured, also when they are outside the lock is removed and only opens with the little hook of the lock by putting your hand, the truth is that I liked it a lot.
So taking into account these features that I thought were great, I wanted to buy my door just like this for the new entrance I was making, since in my main entrance I have a security door known as multiloock.

Pero, por ser una puerta de modelo antiguo, no era fácil de encontrar y las que busqué por internet se encontraban en otros estados y otra era el modelo parecido, pero el material no era tan seguro… Así que me decidí diseñarla y mandarla a fabricar y, aunque al final terminé pagando más por ella, finalmente les puedo decir que me encantó.

Para ello, tuve que comprar:

*2 tubos de seis metros de 2 por 1 y medio
*1 Lámina de metal número 20
*1 kilo de electrodos 6013
*Ángulo
*2 cabillas de seis metros de 1/2 pulgada.
*3 bisagras de 4 pulgadas
*3 bisagras de 2 pulgadas
*1 pasador
*1/4 de fondo negro
*Tubo para marco de bloque de 15
*4 bloques
*3 sacos de gransa
*3 sacos de ripio
*1 saco de cemento
*Pintura de caucho blanca
*1 Cerradura de sobreponer
*2 discos de esmeril pequeños, uno para cortar y el otro para pulir, eso que es lo que me acuerdo por el momento.

So I decided to design it and send it to manufacture and, although in the end I ended up paying more for it, finally I can tell you that I loved it.
For it, I had to buy:

*1 bag of cement
*White rubber paint
*1 Mortise lock
*2 small emery discs, one for cutting and the other for polishing, that is what I remember for the moment.

Tuve que conseguir una máquina de soldar y un esmeril prestado porque el soldador no tenía nada, jajaja. Es de esos trabajadores a los que hay que ponerles todo en la mano para que lo usen, jajaja.

Duramos tres días en lo que fue la fabricación e instalación y la verdad es que se llevó bastante trabajo; por suerte, mi hermano me ayudó y se encargó de dirigir al soldador porque él conoce también de soldadura y yo estaba allí, supervisando que todo quedara tal cual como yo quería.

La mía, a diferencia de las puertas que les nombré, yo la pinté de negro y la ventana la hice más abajo y me le pusieron unas cabillas en la parte de atrás para reforzar y que a su vez me sirven para guindar unos ganchos, jejeje.

I had to get a welding machine and a borrowed grinder because the welder had nothing, hahaha. He is one of those workers that you have to put everything in his hand for him to use it, hahaha.
We lasted three days in what was the fabrication and installation and the truth is that it took quite a lot of work; luckily, my brother helped me and was in charge of directing the welder because he also knows welding and I was there, supervising that everything was just as I wanted.
Mine, unlike the doors that I mentioned, I painted it black and the window I made it lower and I put some brackets in the back to reinforce and that in turn serve me to hang some hooks, hehehe.

Fueron tres días cansados, de levantarme temprano y estar allí viendo cada detalle, a parte de que el soldador era algo necio y constantemente me quería cambiar las cosas y yo ahí pendiente, jajajaja. Hasta que finalmente la instalaron y al otro día la pude abrir y estaba feliz.

"Proyecto Puerta" terminado, gracias a Dios y a todos los que me ayudaron en este proceso, desde el que me cargó las cabillas, el que me picó los tubos, el que batió la pega, etc etc. Estoy muy contenta con el resultado y disfrutando de mi nueva entrada.

It was a tiring three days, getting up early and being there looking at every detail, besides the welder was something necessary and constantly wanted to change things and I was there waiting, hahahaha. Until they finally installed it and the next day I could open it and I was happy.
“Door project” finished, thanks to God and to all those who helped me in this process, from the one who loaded me the rods, the one who cut the tubes, the one who beat the glue, etc etc etc. I am very happy with the result and am enjoying my new entrance.
