Gloom Owl Everywhere in Soulkeep Battle

In the second level of Soulkeep, I wanted to repeat the same strategy that had worked so well for me in the first level of the battle, I chose the Gloom Owl tower and placed it in all the map. I was able to stop waves of Fiends with ease.

But in this level, I decided to try a new tower and I chose the Card Sharp because it has a high Magic Damage of 125 and an excellent Range of 235 and allowing it to strike from a far and cover a large area. Its Fire Interval is 1.2, meaning it strikes almost continuously. This encouraged me to use it as my primary line of defense throughout the level.

I placed the Card Sharp towers in strategic locations across the map, especially at corners and main entrances, and the start was promising. I was able to make it through the first few waves without any major issues, and the towers did a great job of eliminating Fiends of all kinds.

But what really messed with my mind and ruined my entire plan were the Bloodlings and these are extremely fast creatures, meaning before the Card Sharp tower could prepare its second attack, they'd already run away. Their speed was too much for the towers to keep up, and I started finding my defenses easily breached.

I tried to remedy the situation by adding more towers to tight areas or along passages that slowed them down, but they still needed a different type of tower that could perform slower or even faster attacks. That's when I realized that Card Sharp was great against regular Fiends, but it wasn't enough on its own against fast monsters like Bloodlings.

I learned that there must be a balance in tower selection, not just in terms of attack power, but also in terms of speed and impact on enemy movement. This makes me think about combining other towers with Card Sharp next time to create a stronger combination.
