Hello, dear craft lovers. Yesterday, my husband @edeyglezsosa told you in his post how my mother-in-law gave him 3 porcelain salt shakers to decorate and use as ornaments. I also explain to you that I asked her for two of the salt shakers to make a different craft with them and create a set of 3 pieces together.

The thing is that some time ago I saw that with fomi they decorated the cups with a wedding theme, disguising one with a wedding dress and another with a tuxedo. That's where I got the idea to create a tutorial in which I will show you how to decorate some salt shakers with wedding attire. In the end I kept my promise and the set of pieces is complete. They look like a wedding couple getting married under a sakura tree. I think it is a good idea to decorate wedding tables in a nice way and with low budget. Below I show you the materials I used and the step by step of the creative process.

El día de ayer, mi esposo @edeyglezsosa les contó en su publicación cómo mi suegra le había dado 3 saleros de porcelana para que los decorase y así usarlos como adornos. También les explico que yo le pedí dos de los saleros para hacer una manualidad distinta con ellos y crear un set de 3 piezas en conjunto.

La cuestión es que hace tiempo vi que con fomi decoraban las copas con temática de boda, disfrazando una con un traje de novia y otra con esmoquin. De ahí fue que tomé la idea para crear un tutorial en el cual le mostraré cómo decorar unos saleros con traje de bodas. Al final cumplí mi promesa y el set de piezas está completo. Quedan como una pareja de novios que se casan bajo un árbol de sakura. Creo que es una buena idea para decorar las mesas de las bodas de una forma bonita y con bajo presupuesto. A continuación te muestro los materiales que utilicé y el paso a paso del proceso creativo.

👰Step by step // Paso a paso🤵

I used black and white foami to decorate the salt shakers for the wedding dresses, since these are the colors that almost always, not to generalize, the bride and groom choose to get married. I started with the groom because it is much easier. I lined the salt shaker with black foami on all sides, leaving the top uncovered about half a cm.

Para decorar los saleros vestidos de novia utilicé foami negro y blanco, ya que son los colores que casi siempre, para no generalizar, escogen los novios para casarse. Comencé con el novio porque es mucho más fácil. Forré con foami negro el salero por todas las caras, dejando la parte superior sin cubrir aproximadamente medio cm.

I cut a white triangle to be the shirt and glued it to the front of the salt shaker.

Corté un triángulo de color blanco para que sea la camisa y lo pegué en la parte delantera del salero.

I marked the outline of the costume with a pencil and glued small white stones on top of all the drawn lines. I cut out the shape of a bow and placed a larger silver stone in the center. Then I placed it on the top of the shirt. With a black marker I made three dots to simulate the buttons on the shirt. The groom is now finished, very easy.

Marqué la silueta del traje con un lápiz y pegué piedras blancas pequeñas encima de todas las líneas trazadas. Corté la forma de un lazo y le coloqué una piedra más grande plateada en el centro. Luego lo situé en la parte superior de la camisa. Con un marcador negro hice tres puntos para simular los botones de la camisa. Ya está terminado el novio, muy fácil.

For the bride, I used white foami. I cut a long strip about two or three centimeters wide and with a thin lace die I made this shape, on one side. Then I trimmed the excess lace, leaving only two curves in the center of the strip and glued it to the saltbox. This will be the top of the dress.

Para la novia, utilicé foami blanco. Para ello corte una tira larga de dos o tres cm de ancho aproximadamente y con un troquel fino de encaje le hice esta forma, por un lado. Luego recorté el encaje sobrante, dejando solo dos curvas en el centro de la tira y la pegué en el salero. Esta será la parte superior del vestido.

For the other part of the dress I used two strips of white foami and die cut them with a much wider lace. I inserted a thin wire all around the top of the dress to get a pleated or ruffled skirt. When I had it the way I wanted it, I cut the excess wire and twisted it so it wouldn't open up. Then I put it in place and glued the inside.

Para la otra parte del vestido utilicé dos tiras de foami blanco y las troquelé con un encaje mucho más ancho. Inserté un alambre fino por toda la parte superior para obtener una falda como con ondulaciones o plisada. Cuando ya la tenía como quería, corte el alambre sobrante y lo torcí para que no se abriera. Luego lo coloqué en su lugar y pegué por la parte de adentro.

To cover the wire, I made a thin one cm wide strip of silver frosted foami and glued it on top of the wire and it would look like a decorative ribbon on the dress. I cut a white ribbon and a small flower, which I placed on one side of the dress and a large silver stone on the bust area to match the groom's design.

Para tapar el alambre, hice una tira fina de un cm de ancho de foami escarchado plateado y la pegué encima de todo el alambre y ya quedaría como si fuese una cinta decorativa del vestido. Corte un lazo de color blanco y una florecita pequeña, las cuales coloqué a un lado del vestido y una piedra grande plateada en la parte del busto para que hiciera juego con el diseño del novio.

And thus are finished these two salt shakers decorated with foami with a wedding dress theme. I loved them, especially the bride's dress. It is a nice design to place on the tables of restaurants and events to celebrate weddings, anniversaries or next February 14, day of love and friendship.

Y de esta forma se encuentran terminados estos dos saleros decorados con foami con temática de vestido de novia. Me han encantado, sobre todo, el vestido de la novia. Es un lindo diseño para colocar en las mesas de restaurantes y eventos para celebrar bodas, aniversarios o el próximo 14 de febrero, día del amor y la amistad.
