Hello, dear friends who love crafts, today I want to show you how to decorate a simple bottle into a magical fairy house. At home we usually use both plastic and glass bottles that then most of the time are discarded. In this tutorial you will see that, although many believe that they no longer serve for anything, we can give it a new life, turning it into a nice decoration that will beautify any corner of our homes, either the garden or the terrace.

I love magic and fantasy, so on several occasions this is the theme that I represent in my crafts. We do not know if there is a world where these magical and tiny creatures reign; however, here you have a new home where some fairies can live. Below, I show you all the materials I used and the step by step of the creative process.

Hola, queridos amigos amantes de las manualidades, hoy quiero enseñarte cómo decorar una simple botella en una mágica casa de hadas. En casa generalmente usamos botellas tanto plásticas como de cristal que luego la mayoría de las veces se desechan. En este tutorial verás que, aunque muchos creen que ya no sirven para nada, podemos darle una nueva vida, convirtiéndola en un lindo adorno que embellecerá cualquier rincón de nuestros hogares, ya sea el jardín o la terraza.

Me gusta mucho la magia y la fantasía, por lo que en varias ocasiones esta es la temática que represento en mis manualidades. No sabemos si existe un mundo donde reinen estas criaturas mágicas y diminutas; de igual forma, aquí tienen un nuevo hogar donde alguna que otra hada pueda habitar. A continuación, te muestro todos los materiales que utilicé y el paso a paso del proceso creativo.

🍄Step by step // Paso a paso🍄

The first thing I did was to cut the threaded part of the bottle, because the one I used was made of plastic and I decided to cut this part so that the upper part would be completely smooth. To the plastic part of the bulb bulb, I glued a cardboard circle of the same diameter of the circumference of this to then paste this piece on the spout of the bottle, so it would look like the structure of a mushroom.

Lo primero que hice fue picar la parte de la rosca de la botella, pues la que utilicé era de plástico y decidí picar esta parte para que quedara completamente lisa la parte superior. A la parte del plástico del foco de un bombillo, le pegué un círculo de cartón del mismo diámetro de la circunferencia de este para luego poder pegar esta pieza en el pico de la botella, de esta forma parecería la estructura de un hongo.

On a thick cardboard I marked and cut out three circles of the same size, placed them one on top of the other to give height and use it as a base. To define the size I marked 1.5 cm more outwards from the contour of the bottle.

En un cartón grueso marqué y recorté tres círculos del mismo tamaño, los coloqué uno encima del otro para dar altura y utilizarlo como base. Para definir el tamaño marqué 1.5 cm más hacia afuera del contorno de la botella.

Twist two or three sheets of paper and glue them to the front of the bottle, these would be the trunks of the trees, depending on the number of leaves will be the thickness of the branches.

Torcer dos o tres hojas de papel y pegarlo en la parte delantera de la botella, estos serían los troncos de los árboles, según la cantidad de hojas será el grosor de las ramas.

With kitchen paper and liquid glue, I papered the entire surface of the bottle to cover the imperfections of the cardboard cuts and to allow the plastic to be painted without paint streaks. I cut egg carton into small pieces and when the wallpaper was completely dry, I marked the outline of the door and windows with a pencil and covered the rest of the front wall with these pieces.

Con papel de cocina y pegamento líquido, empapelé toda la superficie de la botella para tapar las imperfecciones de los cortes del cartón y que permita pintar el plástico sin que salgan betas de pintura. Corté cartón de huevo en pequeños pedacitos y cuando estuvo completamente seco el empapelado, con un lápiz, marqué la silueta de la puerta y las ventanas y el resto de la pared frontal la cubrí con estos pedacitos.

I started by painting the upper part of the mushroom, giving soft yellow strokes from bottom to top so that the colors would blend. Then I painted the trunk of the tree and the front of the base brown. With a light orange color, I painted the whole body of the bottle, with green the upper part of the base to simulate the grass and with the same brown color of the trunk, but with the half dry brush I darkened some parts, as well as the inside of the door and the windows.

Comencé pintando la parte superior del hongo, dando suaves brochazos de color amarillo de abajo hacia arriba para que se fuesen mezclando los colores. Luego pinté de color marrón el tronco del árbol y la parte delantera de la base. Con un color naranja claro, pinté todo el cuerpo de la botella, con verde la parte superior de la base para simular el césped y con el mismo color marrón del tronco, pero con el pincel medio seco fui oscureciendo algunas partes, así como el interior de la puerta y las ventanas.

With moldable foami I made the decorations, I elaborated some mushrooms that I placed in the front part and as a cobblestone frame for the door and the windows.

Con foami moldeable hice las decoraciones, elaboré algunos hongos que coloqué en la parte frontal y como un marco empedrado de la puerta y las ventanas.

I took a sponge and chopped it into small pieces, placed it in a container and added some green paint to give it color. Then I let it dry and glued around the trunk to simulate the leaves.

Tomé una esponja y la piqué en pequeños trocitos, la coloqué en un recipiente y añadí un poco de pintura verde para darle color. Luego dejé secar y pegué alrededor del tronco para simular las hojas.

With white paint I made the circles of the mushroom, both the big one and the little ones in the house.

Con pintura blanca hice los círculos del hongo, tanto del grande como de los pequeñitos de la casa.
