RE: Gaming Is Not Just Entertainment Anymore

Now it has become a career for some people

I admire the hell out of the people that manage to make a living off of their really high levels of talent. I really enjoyed Starcraft 1 and 2 for example, but when I see the truly awesome people playing it in tournaments I am just blown away at how fast their minds work. I have been involved in "LAN" games with some friends in the recent past and there was one guy that had unit management that was so much better than the rest of us that the only way we could make a fair game of it was to 2v1 or even 3v1. IN that sort of situation whoever was Zerg would just keep launching weak attacks to disrupt his resource gathering and that was really the only way we could win.

I don't know about gaming making one smarter though. I mean , I guess that could be true.
