Ordinary People. Extraordinary Mission.

Have you ever felt unworthy of God's calling? Or perhaps that He only uses "special" people with impressive spiritual resumes for meaningful ministry?
I think every believer has felt a sense of unworthiness at some point in their life! If you've ever felt "too common" to be used by God, you are not alone!
Thankfully how we see ourselves is not at all the same way God sees us!
All throughout the Bible, God has a habit of taking seemingly ordinary people and calling them to extraordinary places! Most of them, we would have called "unqualified" ...but yet God saw them as worthy to carry out incredible tasks to further God's plan.
Let's take a look at some of them and their credentials:
➡️ Noah – He drank too much at times, but, God used him to build the ark to save the world. (Genesis 6-9)
➡️ Abraham and Sarah – They were an old, washed-up couple who God used to build a nation. (Genesis 11-25)
➡️ Joseph – He was an entitled teen who went through God’s classroom, training him to save both Egypt and Israel. (Genesis 37-50)
➡️ Moses – He was a stutterer who was God’s spokesman and leader. (Exodus 3-4)
➡️ Rahab – She was a prostitute who God used to help his spies and overtake Jericho. (Joshua 2)
➡️ Jonah – He was the escapist who God brought back to save Nineveh. (Jonah 1-3)
➡️ Esther – She was the adopted orphan who became Queen to save Israel. (Esther 1-8)
➡️ Peter – He was the quitter who God brought back to start the Kingdom. (Matthew 26, John 21, Acts 1-2)
➡️ Paul – He was the enemy who became the most prolific Christian in the New Testament.(Acts 7-9)
When God decides to work through you, there is NOTHING you can do to disqualify yourself. Why? Because it has nothing to do with our being "worthy" and it has everything to do with the One doing the work in you.
All God asks from us is to be obedient to Him and to be available when He calls. That's it. Put your trust in Him, allow Him to lead and cast all your doubts and fears at His feet.
Check out this song by Casting Crowns called Nobody. It's a great reminder that when God calls upon us to do something, it's not because of who we are, it's because of who He is! My favourite line in the song is "You picked 12 outsiders nobody would have chosen and You changed the world" You see, because it's not about them or even how the world sees them...
So the next time you're feeling like a Nobody in the kingdom of God, remember that you are somebody to God and He has a purpose and a plan for your life! You're somebody to Him! And you're worthy because He says you are.
Lord, I pray that everyone who reads this post would have a deeper desire to know You and that they would be able to feel Your presence in their life. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen!

STOPGod is a total master planner, he knows the end from the beginning, then what excuse can we give to counter his decisions?, we are in a better place. Thank you 🙏.
