My baby stroller | Meu carrinho de bebê [EN/PT]

Today I was having açaí (also called Amazon berry) at the ice cream shop near my house, a routine after returning from basketball, when a 1920s Rolls-Royce classic car drove by, carrying a bride in the passenger seat. I recognized the car brand by the small statue in front of the vehicle, on top of the radiator. Another interesting fact is that the driver sat on the right, respecting traffic in São Paulo, Brazil, as if he were in London.

The car's old-fashioned design, all chrome, black, and gray, reminded me of the baby stroller I had at home. My parents probably used it to take me for walks in it. I don't remember that time, but I do remember appreciating the object when I was already outgrown, unable to fit inside. The details were chrome and dark blue leather; it really did look like an old classic car.

While creating the artwork for the Challenge: Drawing (almost) every day on iPad, in addition to the car's elements (fenders, suspension, white tires, etc.), I remembered other items like a colorful plastic rattle and the wallpaper we had in the living room of the house I lived. I can't confirm they actually existed in this form, but I drew them here even though it's just my imagination.

Returning to the wedding Rolls Royce in front of the ice cream shop, a protest against the genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip was moving in the opposite direction. Traffic slowed, but apparently the bride wasn't worried; she now had a political excuse for any eventual exaggeration of the traditional wedding delay.

Hoje estava tomando açaí na sorveteria perto de casa, rotina depois de voltar do basquete, quando passou em frente um calhambeque Rolls Royce dos anos 20 levando uma noiva no banco de passageiros. Reconheci a marca pela pequena estátua na frente do carro, em cima do radiador. Outra curiosidade é que o motorista sentava na direita, respeitando o trânsito como se estivesse na mão inglesa.

O design antiquado do carro, todo cromado, preto e cinza, me lembrou o carrinho de bebê que tinha em casa. Meus pais provavelmente usavam para me levar para passear dentro dele. Não guardo memória desta época mas me recordo de apreciar o objeto já crescido, sem caber dentro dele. Os detalhes eram cromados com couro azul escuro, parecia mesmo um calhambeque.

Enquanto fazia a arte para o Desafio: Desenhando (quase) todo dia no iPad, além dos elementos do carrinho (para lamas, suspensão, pneus brancos, etc) fui lembrando de outros itens como um chocalho de plástico colorido e o papel de parede que tinha na sala da casa onde morava. Não posso afirmar que existiram desta forma mesmo, mas deixo registrado aqui mesmo sendo apenas imaginação.

Voltando ao Rolls Royce nupcial em frente da sorveteria, ao mesmo tempo que passava subia em sentido contrário uma manifestação contra o genocídio dos palestinos na Faixa de Gaza. O trânsito ficou lento mas pelo jeito a noiva não ficou preocupada, tinha agora uma desculpa política para qualquer eventual exagero no tradicional atraso no casamento.
