Graffiti - Praça Paulo Kobayashi, São Paulo, Brazil [EN/PT]

This enormous graffiti was painted on a structure that, despite looking like a building, has no doors or windows and appears to be a giant ventilation shaft or water tank. It's located in Paulo Kobayashi Square, next to the São Paulo City Hall, almost directly across from the building where I live. I took this photo from my balcony in 2017. At that time I published another picture taken from the ground.

Este imenso graffiti foi pintado em uma construção que apesar de parecer um prédio, não tem portas nem janelas e parece ser um respiradouro ou caixa d'água gigante. Fica na Praça Paulo Kobayashi, ao lado da Câmara Municipal de São Paulo, quase frente do prédio onde moro. Esta foto tirei da varanda de casa em 2017. Naquela época postei uma outra imagem da praça tirada no nível do chão.

According to the Instagram profile @gpsdasartes, the graffiti artist is Binho Ribeiro - https://www.binhoribeiro.com.br - a pioneer of street art in Brazil and Latin America, where he has been active since 1984. I found this video on YouTube from the São Paulo City Council, published at the time of the mural's first version in 2012. We can see that the current painting is quite different. According to the blog São Paulo 360º, the mural was originally called "Urban Forest" and featured collaborating artists Nem, Nick, Does, Evol, Snek, Feik, and Sr. Max.

Encontrei este video no YouTube da Câmara de São Paulo publicado na ocasião da primeira versão do mural, em 2012. Podemos ver que a pintura atual é bem diferente, segundo o blog São Paulo 360º, originalmente o painel se chamava "Floresta Urbana" tendo como artistas colaboradores Nem, Nick, Does, Evol, Snek, Feik e Sr. Max.

Today, surrounding the immense main graffiti, we have geometric paintings in black, red, and yellow. I think we can consider them art too, but I haven't found who signed the work. In the nighttime photo above, the illuminated basketball court is more striking, my favorite sport, as I've drawn here before in Hive idea: Basketball bike, Sorobasket, portable soroban for recording basketball statistics and Training basketball at the end of week. Despite being very close to home, I unfortunately don't use this court. As you can see in the photo, the net covering the ceiling is too low, making it very difficult to shoot from distance, which I like to do.

Hoje ao redor do imenso graffiti principal, temos pinturas geométricas em preto, vermelho e amarelo, acho que podemos considerar como arte tb, mas não encontrei quem assinou o trabalho. Nesta foto noturna acima chama mais atenção a quadra de basquete iluminada, meu esporte preferido como desenhei aqui antes em Hive ideia: Basquetebike, Sorobasket, soroban portátil para anotar estatísticas no basquete e Treinando basquete no fim de semana. Apesar de pertinho de casa infelizmente não uso esta quadra, como podem ver na foto, a rede que cobre o teto está muito baixa, atrapalhando muito os arremessos de longe que gosto de praticar.
