Giant graffiti near bus terminal | Graffiti gigante perto do Pq Dom Pedro II [EN/PT]

The last time I went to the bus terminal in Parque Dom Pedro II here in São Paulo, Brazil, I spotted this giant graffiti depicting a man with a jaguar mask in the middle of a forest fire. A quick search revealed it was part of the documentary "O Chamado da Floresta (The Call of the Forest)", which register the creation of the impressive 2,100m² mural by indigenous artist Denilson Baniwa, with technical support from artist Alexandre Puga.

Da última vez que fui no terminal de ônibus no Parque Dom Pedro II aqui em São Paulo, avistei este graffiti gigante com o desenho de um homem com máscara de onça no meio de um incêndio na floresta. Pesquisando rapidamente descobri que fez parte do documentário "O chamado da floresta", que registra a confecção do mural, com impressionantes 2.100m², criação do artista indígena Denilson Baniwa, realizada com o apoio técnico do artista Alexandre Puga.

The documentary was published on Instagram @muralochamadodafloresta, the same social network where @alexandrepuga is also present. From their profiles, we realize that the giant artwork that cover that tall building was inaugurated in September 2024, and the Brazilian graffiti artist has works scattered around the world, including in Paris and Amsterdam.

O documentário foi publicado no Instagram @muralochamadodafloresta, mesma rede social onde o @alexandrepuga tb está presente. Pelos perfis dá pra saber que a obra gigante que cobre a empena daquele prédio alto foi inaugurada em setembro de 2024, e o grafiteiro tem obras espalhadas pelo mundo, inclusive em Paris e Amsterdam.
