Drawing with a bottle of India ink | Desenhando com frasco de tinta nanquim [EN/PT]

Back in the habit of drawing almost every day, I remembered this technique I learned when I started working at the agency I mentioned earlier in the post The DPZ brick. As I recall, I saw creative director Helga using it. I liked the result and concluded that other similar drawings I'd seen before had been created this way by other artists.

The technique involved drawing using an India ink bottle, originally designed for refilling pens. In other words, using the ink directly on the paper, letting it drip and run, with almost no control. The work turned out completely different from what it would have been if done with a pen. The pen was supposedly accurate, firm, and precise in the thickness of the lines (they even had the millimeters/centimeters indicated on the cap: 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, etc.). With paint that poured directly from the bottle (tube or cartridge), you had little control over the flow and the final result was unpredictable.

For the Challenge: Drawing (almost) every day on the iPad I couldn't find a brush/pen with a similar effect in the app I use. At least not in the free options. If I find a configuration that has a similar effect using a digital pen, I'll definitely try it.

De volta com o hábito de desenhar quase todo dia lembrei desta técnica que aprendi quando fui trabalhar na agência que comentei aqui antes no post O tijolo DPZ. Pelo que me lembro vi a diretora de criação Helga usando, gostei do resultado e conclui que outros desenhos parecidos que tinha visto antes tinham sido criados desta maneira por outros artistas.

A técnica era desenhar usando o frasco de tinta nanquim, feito originalmente para recarregar as canetas. Ou seja, usar direto a tinta no papel, deixando escorrer e pingar, com quase nenhum controle. A obra ficava completamente diferente do que seria caso fosse feito com a caneta. A caneta era supostamente exata, firme e precisa na grossura das linhas (tinham até os milímetros/centímetros indicados na tampa: 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, etc.). Na tinta que caia direto do frasco (tubo ou cartucho), vc conseguia pouco controle no fluxo e vazão, o final era imprevisível.

Para o Desafio: Desenhando (quase) todo dia no iPad não encontrei um pincel/caneta com efeito semelhante no aplicativo que uso. Pelo menos não nas opções gratuitas. Caso encontre uma configuração que tenha o efeito parecido usando caneta digital, vou testar com certeza.
