A Simple Day, a Sweet Treat, and a Fiery Sky

The afternoon was hot and very quiet. I decided to spend it outside, lying on my trampoline again under the cool shade of the green trees. A gentle breeze occasionally pushed the heat away, making it the perfect spot to just relax and daydream.

My husband had gone out to run a few errands, and I stayed behind, secretly hoping he would come back with a little treat for us to enjoy, again. 😁

After an hour or two of pure relaxation, I heard his footsteps. He walked up with a massive grin on his face, holding a colorful little box from Cake Away. Inside were beautiful cream cheese brownies, their dark chocolate and yellow cream layers swirled together like an edible work of art. I knew right then that our healthy eating plans were officially on pause, again 😂. Alright, let's consider it a cheat day. 😂

I took the treats and poured a glass of bright, bubbly yellow soda to go with them. The brownies were rich, sweet, and perfectly fudgy.

As we sat together enjoying our snacks, I happened to look up at the sky.

Just moments before sunset, the sky turned into a beautiful canvas. The deep blue evening air was filled with soft clouds that glowed with a warm, fiery orange color. A single bird soared across the view, flying peacefully against the burning sky. It was a beautiful end to my very simple, happy day. 😊
