Shein is selling watches for ridiculous prices, are brand products a scam?
Auf dem chinesischen Online-Shop Shein werden Uhren um 10 bis 20 Euro verkauft. Eine Automatik-Uhr mit einem japanischen Uhrwerk kostet zum Beispiel 26 Euro.
Ist unglaublich, Shein verkauft alles mögliche zu extrem günstigen Preisen.
Shein liefert kostenlos ab 15 Euro, Lieferzeit nach Österreich werden 2 Wochen versprochen, 6-9 Werktage.
Alles eigentlich zu gut, um wahr zu sein. Man muss aber noch Zoll und Umsatzsteuer bezahlen, dann noch zusätzlich eine 3 Euro EU-Paket-Steuer, die Österreich auch auf alle Pakte ausdehnen möchte.
Aber trotzdem sind die Preise verrückt, in der App bekommt man noch einmal -30% Rabatt, was Zoll & Steuern wieder entgegenwirkt.
Im Angesicht der billigen Preise auf Shein sind westliche Marken-Produkte, die oft das 10 oder 100-Fache kosten, ein Scam?
Was denkt ihr? Habt ihr schon einmal etwas auf Shein oder AliExpress bestellt? Sind Markenprodukte ein Scam?

On the Chinese online store Shein, watches are sold for 10 to 20 euros. An automatic watch with a Japanese movement, for example, costs 26 euros.
It’s unbelievable, Shein sells all kinds of things at extremely low prices.
Shein offers free shipping on orders over 15 euros, delivery to Austria is promised to take 2 weeks, 6–9 business days.
It’s all actually too good to be true. But you still have to pay customs duties and EU sales tax, plus an additional 3 euro EU parcel tax, which Austria also wants to extend to all parcels.
But even so, the prices are crazy, in the app, you get an extra 30% discount, which offsets the tariffs and taxes.
Given the low prices on Shein, are Western brand-name products, which often cost 10 or 100 times as much, a scam?

Marken sind überteuert in der Regel, nur selten qulitativ besser.
Aber dennoch würde ich es nicht als Scam bezeichnen.
Ich brauche keine Marken. Einzige was ich immer habe ist Das Galaxy S von Samsung, sonst ist mir die Marke eher egal.

I don't think they're a scam, but they have very large profit margins. Furthermore, you have to consider the high taxes and the multitude of regulations that make the entire process more expensive.
Kein Arbeitsschutz dort, keine Gewerkschaften (vermute ich), kein Mindestlohn. Aus ethischer Sicht sollte man von dort gar nicht kaufen, es sei denn, man findet all das oben erwähnte unnötig. Man spart sich zwar was, aber langfristig führt das zu noch mehr Arbeitsplatzverlusten in Europa.
Stimmt, falls die Markenhersteller nicht auch unter ähnlichen Bedingungen produzieren.

It's always brand pricing as more expensive, and it's nothing new. I just think that the cheap stuff tends to work just as well even if it might have lower shelf life.
I think I know why the price difference is so large. Take electricity, for example:
European Union about $0.34 per kWh
United States about $0.17 per kWh
China about $0.07 per kWh
In Europe, there is mandatory social and health insurance, as well as high taxes. Governments redistribute a large portion of the wealth generated to care for their citizens. In Europe, there are many regulations, directives, and standards that make everything more expensive.
That is why China is cheaper. I don’t know which approach is correct and sustainable in the long term. But I wouldn't want to live in China.
Good point, we have the highest electricity, labor cost and taxes in the world, no wonder products are more expensive made here.
die frage die ich mir stelle wie lange halte die Uhren im täglichen gebrauch oder sind das die gleichen Uhren wie bei den "stranddealer"
Bei den Shein-Uhren um 2-10 Euro würde ich keine allzu hohe Qualität erwarten, aber es soll auch chinesische Luxus-Replika bekannter Marken geben, die eine extrem hohe Qualität aufweisen und kaum von dem Original unterscheidbar sind.
