MSM slowly admits that the Bulgarian GPS story of von der Leyen's plane was fabricated
Die MSM geben langsam zu, dass die bulgarische GPS-Geschichte über den Flug von von der Leyen fabriziert wurde. Man könnte auch Fake News sagen.
Ursprünglich hat ein Financial Times-Artikel behauptet, dass das Flugzeug einem gezielten russischen GPS-Angriff in der Nähe von Plovdiv in Bulgarien ausgesetzt war, eine Stunde über Plovdiv kreisen musste und dann mit "Landkarten" manuell landen musste.
Diese ursprüngliche Version dürfte nicht halten. Öffentlich einsehbare Flugdaten, die von Flightradar24 aufgezeichnet werden, haben ein ganz anderes Bild gezeichnet. Das Flugzeug konnte mit einer kurzen Verspätung von 9 Minuten normal landen und hatte laut Flightradar24 keine GPS-Probleme.
Die GPS-Geschichte, die Russland für die Verspätung des Flugs verantwortlich machte, ist in den bulgarischen Medien auf allen Sendern den ganzen Tag auf und ab berichtet worden.
Am Dienstag hat sich allerdings sogar der bulgarische Premierminister zu Wort gemeldet, und den vermeintlich russischen Cyberangriff, der von den MSM verbreitet wurde, dementiert.
Ein neuer Bericht auf Politico stellt nun klar, dass das Flugzeug mit einer kurzen Verspätung mit Hilfe von ILS (Instrument Landing System) landen konnte, da es beim Landeanflug anscheinend ein GPS-Problem gab.
Die Geschichte mit der einstündigen Verspätung und manuellen Landkarten-Landung dürfte aber erfunden worden sein. Ebenfalls fraglich ist, ob das mit dem gezielten russischen Cyberangriff auf ein einzelnes Flugzeug in Bulgarien haltbar ist.
Im Krieg ist die Wahrheit das erste Opfer.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Unabhängig davon, welche Version jetzt stimmt, wirft die Sache jedenfalls unangenehme Fragen für die EU und die Medien auf.

The MSM is slowly admitting that the Bulgarian GPS story about von der Leyen's flight was fabricated. You could also call it fake news.
Originally, a Financial Times article claimed that the plane was subjected to a targeted Russian GPS attack near Plovdiv in Bulgaria, had to circle over Plovdiv for an hour, and then had to land manually using “maps”.
This original version is unlikely to hold up. Publicly available flight data recorded by Flightradar24 painted a very different picture. The plane was able to land normally with a short delay of 9 minutes and, according to Flightradar24, had no GPS problems.
The GPS story, which blamed Russia for the flight delay, has been reported up and down on all Bulgarian media channels throughout the day.
On Tuesday, however, even the Bulgarian prime minister spoke out and denied the alleged Russian cyberattack that was spread by the mainstream media.
A new report on Politico now clarifies that the plane was able to land with a short delay using ILS (Instrument Landing System), as there was apparently a GPS problem during the approach.
However, the story about the one-hour delay and manual map landing is likely to have been fabricated. It is also questionable whether the claim of a targeted Russian cyberattack on a single aircraft in Bulgaria is tenable.
In war, truth is the first casualty.

I always find it difficult to believe media that don't quote credible sources that you can look up. Spreading such lies with public flight data in particular should make you suspicious. Since the summer is already over, the summer slump shouldn't be the problem.
Why Europe is stirring itself into a war frenzy with Russia when its military is weak & its people don't want to fight is beyond me.
But so much of what Europe does is self-harming these days...
Wars are known to create fear, which imagines different pictures in people's minds, including fabrication of imaginary or assumed enemies or stories. And so, different versions of a particular event are common in war situations. It's therefore premature to stick to a particular version of a story until an independent investigation establishes it.

Ich habe da mal bischen recherchiert und vermute das aus analogem System (ILS) analoge Karten und dann in der Übersetzung physische Karten wurde.
Also ganz einfach das typische "Stille Post" Verhalten.
It’s surprising to see how such a big story was reported without proper facts. The flight data clearly shows a different picture, which makes you wonder how much we can trust mainstream media. Stories like this remind us to always question what we read and look deeper before believing.
I think the news media needs to do more work and making sure that the story is correct. I find that most of them just copy what others have published without checking anything.
