Litewallet, die offizielle moible Litecoin-Wallet, wird durch die Nexus Wallet für Litecoin, die ebenfalls von der Litecoin Foundation betrieben wird, ersetzt.

Die Nexus Wallet bietet viele neue Features vor allem rund um Payments, die integration von Flexa-POS-Payments, und ein neues Privacy-Feature für anonyme Zahlungen mit Litecoin. Private Payments.

Damit sollen der Sender, Empfänger und der Betrag von private Payment-Transaktionen anonymisiert werden.

Um das neue Feature nutzen zu können, müssen die Litecoin aber vorher auf eine Art Sidechain (MimbleWimble-Block) transferiert werden, bzw. dann wieder zurück auf eine Basechain-Adresse, was die neue Nexus Wallet unterstützt.

Transaktionsgebühren sind auf Litecoin aber sehr überschaubar, derzeit weit unter 1 Cent für eine einfache Transaktion (ca LTC 0.00003, ca USD 0.0037).
