Hamburg at Night 🔥 (Red-Light District Reeperbahn)

War diese Woche in Hamburg und habe kurz die Reeperbahn besucht, bin aus dem Alter eigentlich schon draußen, ist mehr ein Teenager-Ding, muss man aber gesehen haben. Ist eine Fortgeh-Meile an der sich 4 unterschiedliche Arten von Lokalen aneinanderreihen: Sex-Shop, Strip-Club, Biergarten, Döner-Bude, Repeat 😂

I was in Hamburg this week and stopped by the Reeperbahn for a bit. I’m actually feeling a bit too old for that—it’s more of a teen thing—but it’s a must-see. It’s a nightlife district lined with four different types of establishments: sex shops, strip clubs, beer gardens, and kebab stands, repeat 😂

Wirklich etwas, was man mal gesehen haben sollte, habs selber aber noch nicht geschafft. War schon paar mal in Hamburg, aber nur Tags und glaube dann ist das nicht so spektakulär
Yep, macht eher nur am Abend Sinn, untertags ist die Straße wie ausgestorben :D

too old? really? I had been decades for me, but in my days (sixties), it was a sailor hang-out and chicks displaying themselves in windows. This looks 'cleaned up' - I remember also when I lived in Canada later on, that on repeat visits to Vancouver's Gastown, much had changed over time, until none of the old, gritty atmosphere remained and turned into a fake, generic mish-mash. Even the genuine gas lanterns that gave it the name were replaced with imitation electric lighting. Well, I digress. I also remember the 'Red Light' districts of Vienna from way back when. Some streets were well known, even in the downtown area (Annagasse) and Leopoldstadt (Novaragasse) and all along the Gürtel. Don't ask why I know all that (from experience, lol).
When I was there the street was filled with teens, no sex workers outside, but think they are actually on another "men-only" street, Herbertstraße near Reeperbahn.
Any age is good for this!
I haven't been out to the nightlife district in a long while. It just doesn't appeal to me as much after getting older, so I kind of understand.
It's not that that kind of leisure has ever appealed to me.
