Follow-up: Polish and Italian courts refused to extradite Nord Stream terrorist suspects to Germany.

Was sagt ihr dazu?

English

It is now official that neither Poland nor Italy have any interest in extraditing the suspects arrested in connection with the Nord Stream terrorist attack to Germany.

There was a heated exchange on X, not between Germany and Poland, but between the Hungarian foreign minister and the Polish prime minister. The German government and the mainstream media are rather keeping quiet about the case, seeming to accept the attack as long as it could somehow be in benefit to Ukraine.

Szijjártó accuses Tusk of not only releasing a terrorist, but even celebrating him.

With this logic, he says, one could sabotage any civilian infrastructure in another EU country if it served one's own interests.

Hungary sees this as a double standard with regard to the rule of law, which EU representatives always uphold in a moralizing manner.

Some German users joke on X that if you have friends like that in the EU, you don't need enemies anymore.

What do you think? Why are Poland and Italy preventing the investigation of the Nord Stream attacks and why is Germany remaining silent on that matter?

Well, the mainstream media here in Czechia don't really keep it quiet. I wonder what the reason behind all that is, though.

What a joke, they just don't want that the whole case becomes public, possibly Poland helped in destroy the nord stream...

The EU is meant to enforce laws, I'm thinking if they do the right thing, the criminals could be brought to justice, by extradition or otherwise, so far the countries involved are all under the EU. This is how bad blood develops between nations and unrest and violence soon follows.

The stand of EU will be of interest. They should speak up as impartial judge, and apportion blame to whoever that deserves it.

I think it would be best for them to talk about this issue and settle it down

I have no idea, but it looks like we don't have all the details. I would wait to see what happens.
