A nail stuck in the tire of my rental car in Bulgaria
Hatte noch eine Reifenpanne in Bulgarien, diesmal bei meinem Mietauto, die aber zum Glück glimpflich ausgegangen ist. Bekam während der Fahrt eine Reifendruck-Warnung angezeigt. Kurz darauf blieben wir stehen, die Reifen schienen aber noch in Ordnung zu sein.
Sind dann zu einer Tankstelle gefahren, die hatten aber kein Pumpgerät für die Reifen, gegenüber gab es aber einen Auto-Mechaniker, wie praktisch, der so nett war den Reifendruck zu kontrollieren.
Dabei stellte sich zufällig heraus, dass bei einem Reifen anscheinend ein kleiner Nagel steckte. Dieser hat zu dem Druckverlust geführt.
Der Mechaniker konnte das Loch dann vor Ort flicken. Hatten wahnsinnig Glück, dass die Luft nicht sofort entwichen ist und wir es noch in die nahegelegene Stadt geschafft und eine Auto-Werkstätte gefunden haben.
Die Reparatur kostete nur 7.50 Euro, was unglaublich ist, dafür hat der Mechaniker noch ein gutes Trinkgeld bekommen.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Hattet ihr schon mal eine Reifenpanne beim Auto?

I had another tire issue in Bulgaria, this time on my rental car, but luckily it turned out okay. I got a tire pressure warning while driving. Shortly after, we stopped, but the tires seemed to be fine.
We drove to next gas station, but they didn't have a tire pump. Fortunately, there was a car mechanic across the street who was so kind to check the tire pressure.
It turned out that a small nail was stuck in one of the tires, which had caused the loss of pressure.
The mechanic was able to patch the hole on the spot. We were incredibly lucky that the air didn't escape immediately and that we made it to the nearby town and found a car repair shop.
The repair only cost €7.50, which is unbelievable, so the mechanic got a good tip.

Habe inzwischen ein Reoaraturkitt im Auto drin. Aber ob ich genau wüsste wie ichs machen muss, gute Frage !LOL

Eigenes Reparaturkit wäre eine Idee, aber wie den Reifen dann aufpumpen, wenn die Luft bei der Reparatur dann rausgeht?
Ich habe eine Pumpe im Auto die über den Zigarettenanzünder geht.
Ok, ich sollte den mal testen ob er auch funktioniert. Vorallem ob der Ohne die Flüssigkeit funktioniert. Eigentlich kommt da ja da eine Flasche drauf, die das Rad von innen Flickt, aber damit ist das Rad auch nur beschränkt nutzbar und dann hin. Mit den Flicksets ist das anders.
Ja sowas hatte ich auch schon. Die Reparatur kostete 15€ soweit ich noch weiß.

You were lucky the loss of pressure wasn't that bad and you had the time to make it to the town to get the tyres fixed. Otherwise the repairs would have cost much more than it did. Tipping the mechanic was also a good idea.
Flat tire? More times than I can count... I've had a lot of nails and bolts in my tires over the years, it's always frustrating. I finally just paid more for run flat tires so if you get a nail the tire can still drive far enough to a tire shop to fix it without having to change the tire myself. I'm not as young as I once was, as so jacking up the car and swapping on the spare just isn't as much fun as it used to be.
Glad you got the situation fixed before it became a problem that you had to fix on the side of the road!

Well, €7.50 is an absolute bargain for peace of mind but converting that to my country's rates, it's a bit high but still good enough.

That was really lucky timing with the tire issue! Glad you found the nail before it caused something worse on the road. Even better that a mechanic was close by and fixed it quickly without costing much. Sometimes small troubles turn into smooth experiences.

Flat tire issues can cause a lot of frustration. Almost every traveller must have experienced it at one time or the other. In your case, you're lucky there wasn't much problem.
Hätte Mal einen Reifenplatzer bei 130 auf der Autobahn. Gott sei Dank ist das Auto komplett stabil weiter gefahren und hat nur ganz leicht in eine Richtung gezogen.
Gut, dass es das Auto noch steuerbar war, auf der Autobahn ist so eine Reifenpanne sicher nicht ohne.
Ja kann gefährlich sein. Bei mir war es Gott sei Dank nur leicht merkbar mit lauterem Geräusch und leichtem ziehen am Lenkrad in eine Richtung.
I have had a flat tire before, and it wasn't nice to deal with. I wasn't so lucky and I had to sit on the side of the freeway until a tow truck came to pick me up.
Such unexpected situations while traveling are never a good thing. However, your description shows how you resolved the problem with patience and quick action, which is truly commendable.
