The civilization
The most frightening scenario in civilization is the system's vocalization and the people's silence
The system has everything
copies of the Constitution,
election dates, flags, anthems, celebrations, parades but equality, transparency, dignity, and accountability are missing.
Governance is announced in the name of the people,
but the people away from decisions,
stand with questions and answers are not found in policies.
Parliament was a symbol of dialogue
now questions are avoided there.
Words are no longer a language of respect,
they have become tools of suspicion
Representation is no longer a sign of presence,
it is now considered a sign of permission
The aspirations of the people are preserved in documents
but the time has not yet come to hear their cries
Arguments are no longer the basis of policy
they have now become the test of loyalty
Differences have now become differences of heart
Once, farmers drew their lives from the soil,
Now, they protest on the streets,
demanding their share of justice.
Once, students found insight in texts,
Now they search for their rights in paragraphs
Truth is no longer determined by context, but by power
If someone speaks in support,
it becomes policy
If someone questions it raises doubts.
Poetry is no longer beauty, it has become evidence
a story of a time, which has been removed from the curriculum
And when someone says
"Everything is fine now," or
"There is no time to ask questions,"
we must say
The silence of the people is a failure of the system
For until hunger becomes policy,
justice will not be equally distributed to all,
and silence is considered consent
democracy will remain an event,
in which the public's presence will be symbolic
Thank you so much for reading. Have a great day 😊🙏 @vikbuddy
